It’s weird how almost all heroes have different pickrates and winrates across regions. People’s ethnicity shouldn’t affect a hero’s winrate or pickrate, so why are they different? There should be an option to choose “all regions” on the OW statistics website to properly assess heroes actual viability. Right now, you have to pick each region.
If you look at mercy’s pickrate and winrate in AMERICA region from bronze to gold, it almost makes her look a little overpowered. But if you see the same stats for her in ASIA region, she looks underpowered.
Probably speed if anything, definitely not size. She already has unfair advantage in 1v1 duel against most DPS heroes in close combat. Because kiriko doesn’t have much of shield break damage, shields often get in the way of her kill potential as well.
So while I’m not advocating for it necessary, I think something like storm arrow-like ability for kunai that’s on like 8 second cooldown would probably be more balanced than giving her even bigger projectile size.
Kiriko is totally a bad hero just ignore that we’ve been in kiriko lucio jail and now it’s kiriko wuyang. The hitboxes or rof would have to be nerfed pretty bad for her to have that available.
You don’t know the amount of times where I’ve said “imagine if the 》enabler《 (a.k.a. tank) had the dps passive and I wouldn’t need to wait for my dps to stop shooting the wall”, but I know it’s entirely impossible because I don’t know what other passive they could give to dps, and it would make the tank passive absurdly bloated.
Kiriko needs big buffs and certainly no compensation nerfs but nobody is ready to admit it. Perks were a massive, obvious mistake and have already ruined a character to enable a terrible perk. Thanks a lot for wasting time on these balance ruining gimmicks and an awful second game mode.
Burst healing is more an issue than burst damage is, generally, as high sustain is what necessitates/enables burst damage, not the other way around.
Not to say that some burst damage isn’t a problem. Soj and Freja particularly come to mind. Most burst damage heroes are relatively immobile in comparison to sustained damage. Both Soj and Freja have the advantages of high burst damage and burst mobility, all while being able to play at range.
Hanzo vs. Soldier, for example, is actually a very even matchup — until you introduce burst healing into the mix. Hanzo can more easily cut through that sustain, while Soldier can’t. This is actually a great example as their engagement ranges are similar.
Sustained damage was simply better at pressuring bursty lower RoF heroes when HP was lower, and before they crept sustain.
Just removing the DPS passive and nerfing burst healing would actually be a net benefit for everyone, and would enable more comp variety.
Burst damage for individual heroes actually is lower than it was before S9. We just have more burst options with newer hero additions.
Because if not take into account that everyone and their cat plays kiri so she racks up losses. She tends to be a desperation switch in losing matches which is also a factor.
I say this as a kiri main, she feels very strong in my hands and I wouldn’t dream of buffing her. She’s not wuyang levels of busted but shes top 3 supports with lucio easily.
