Ow2 is basically DLC. There’s absolutely nothing in store for pvp players beside the new hero and map additions.
We won’t get content until a year+.
The only thing new will be ca$$$h shop items, trying to milk the rest of the playerbase. Hmm, I don’t think it would be worth it to continue to invest my time in
This is not correct, it has already been confirmed new content including at least one new hero (most likely more) is planned for Overwatch before the release of Overwatch 2.

What else do you want from a multiplayer game? A big content expansion?
Good news! That’s literally what OW2 is!
There will be multiple new heroes, multiple new maps and a new PvP mode.
It’s not DLC though. Wish people would stop saying this.
Btw, the way that is phrased… does it mean that we don’t know when the next hero is coming out? Should I assume that hero 32 is going to be delayed?
Logically we typically get a new hero announced to be launching on the PTR during BlizzCon, so logicially… yes the next hero is delayed. (I currently have no viable information to when any new content short of the new skirmish modes is coming to Overwatch.)
oh archive is happening, just don’t expect much. like maybe a new map for the archives event and a few new skins but nothing much
What type of content could there be, besides gamemodes, heroes, maps, pve and lore?
dude, thats basically every type of content in ow. anything else is not worth mentioning
Nick3xtreme, while we may get a new map around that time, it was already confirmed during BlizzCon that the upcoming 2020 Archives seasonal event will have no new addition to the PVE modes for that event.
It’s cool, I’m still obsessing over Sigma anyway. I want to see Echo soon though, it looks like the devs gave her the bomblet gun

Well, to contradict myself, there could be better features I guess.
Like something equivalent to the Ping System in Apex.
Or a better method of keeping track of friends.
Or something that solves this DPS queue time issue.
Although, me personally, the most important thing they could do right now,
Is to do “simple” balance changes using hotfixes.

i mean the ow2 announcement is great. but there isnt really anything big coming -now- to the game.
we may as well afk till ow2 releases
i have an idea that could solve the dps thing, larger team sized and the removal of the 1 hero limit. basically we get modes like 8v8 12v12 24v24 etc.
If they were gonna go that route, I’d say do 3DPS,2Tank,2Heal
