I refuse to play against Sombra

If you can land hack, you get a 20% more dps on your gun. (Which isn’t burst by the way, that’s more like how Pharah/junk does damage)

Which isn’t really needed when killing squishies, and is mostly just their to eat at tanks especially with armor getting buffed.

Best way to make sure doom or ball doesn’t get to play the game I guess.

On that note, hack’s lock-out is also 33% shorter so depending on the matchup you have less time before they just rewind/iceblock/wraith.

The complaints about snipers says we need more stealth heroes.

All heroes and even individual weapons have both burst and sustained DPS. This is an industry term that predates OW. There’s really no such thing as a burst or a sustained DPS hero - that’s a community misconception.

Burst is the maximum DPS a hero can output with full use of their abilities while operating within optimal range.

Sustained is the average DPS they can sustain over long durations (usually measured over multiple reload cycles and CD cycles).

Sombra’s burst (virus then primary on hacked target) is really nice right now.

Higher DPS means faster TTK on squishies. It’s math. You literally can’t disagree with this. :joy:

Sombra is absolutely a squishy assassin. This should be her primary goal, though sometimes it’s not possible against well coordinated teams. She can certainly harass tanks too, but she’s not necessarily the best at this.

Hopefully you leave and don’t come back unless your behavior changes.
Not liking a hero isn’t a good enough reason to sit afk in spawn.

AS a game dev, I can tell you burst is to describe an effect like damage that happens in 1 instance of a hit.

For example soldiers primary fire does bursts of 9 damage, but is considered a sustain damage hero because he primarily wants to hit 20+ of those on ya.

His missile And pharah’s primary are good examples of a Burst weapon because it does all of it’s damage in a single hit. Were you only shooting a handful of them.

Saying everything is mix kind of just muddies the water, and makes it a lot harder to talk about as by your logic everything is burst.

As like sombra’s damage is like 90% sustain minus the fact virus doing a burst of 35/70 on impact.

You were killing them fast enough to not die in the process before hand, which is mostly what matters. Killing them “faster” really isn’t worth losing the half second on hack, which gave you and or a teammate more room to punish a hero. Where your actually less likely to get a kill on say a tracer, who can now rewind before you can do enough damage to kill her.

Or the fact your not really a stealth hero anymore, do the fact that TP gives away that your flanking and you just need to watch the clock to know when she is popping out.


Whereas on tanks, you going to most likely get 2~4 clips worth of that damage boost into them.

You are seriously still complaining about sombra even though she has straight up been killed… Really.

Kill her again, it’s the only way.

You can even see the direction she flies off in-she’s nowhere near as annyoing as she used to be and a lot easier to deal with

time to play sombra only, what rank? If you are higher I will hire a coach just to infest your games :smiling_imp::heart:
