both sides are wrong about him being easy, and being super hard. Yes he requires skill, anyone who doesn’t acknowledge that is wrong, BUT he is far too easy to be very effective with to be considered MASTER MODE HERO.
That moment when you read “i played Genji and I felt I was cheating”, then check OP´s profile and see his K/D with genji at QP (0´29).

My fault, sorry I hope one day we can play in a game that either has a Genji that has had its training wheels removed or in a game that no genji’s exist.

META is just a word thrown all over. There is such a thing in all game modes or…
Most Player versus player video games.
Is there no “META” for WoW raiding or a Deck list for quickplay or tavern brawl for Hearthstone?..
Above is just 2 things i wanted to list that I thought made sense.
The Hearthstone tavern brawl:
there is some modes you get to create your own deck and some of the classes have a higher win rate in those brawls or are more popular because they are fun

I usually just go kill myself if I get Genji. It makes for a better round. I just wish that Blizzard hadn’t taken out the way to do it without feeding ult charge.
You literally have 15 minutes on record with Genji.
And an average elims per life of .29.
Point. Two. Nine.
You literally died 3~ times for every elim.
I apologize- but I am skeptical of your experience / assertion in saying playing Genji felt like “cheating”.

There is always A META for any Game Mode
Have you ever actually, uh, you know… played the hero at high SR competitive when people are actually playing heroes they know how to play and are able to communicate and aim?
…Or are you trying to base an argument around a sample size of 1 game of mystery heroes?

Genji will always be seen as a high skill hero because most players simply are not good with him and take a long time to get decent with him.
You can say he’s easy as much as you want but the reality sets in when you actually play him, and reality seems to suggest you are not very good with him.

There is a meta in the game, that doesn’t mean the meta is followed in every rank
Indeed, I laugh hard when people tell me Genji has this super high skill floor…no, he doesn’t, at all. He’s one of the easiest DPS to play if you use his kit to its full capacity.
Shift is LITERALLY a “free kill” button most of the time and needs its range reduced by like 50% to match what is happening on screen. I’ll never understand how one of the smallest characters in the game gets a free 50 HP, unavoidable, unblockable, attack that hits literally EVERYTHING around him.
Genji is the biggest reason people quit Overwatch, he’s so annoying to play against, its more fun to NOT play.

Genji, symm, torb, tracer, pharah, widowmaker(sniper (auto and scope)), may also add moira…
I guess if you did not have either of these characters, everyone would be so happy?
Go into custom game, create ranked mode matches and remove these characters and see how everyone else play in ranked match without these characters.
very simple to test with friendly people…
FYI, doesn’t matter who’s rank is what in those custom matches. Just have fun and do your best. 8D

Oh man, if Widow was straight up removed the game would improve in quality 100x overnight.
I NEVER understood why a TEAM SHOOTER thats suppose to be about WORKING AS A TEAM…has a lone wolf sniper character, like seriously WTF BlizzCrew.
Remove Widow, boost McCree a little maybe to give those players a proper hero pick that works like the game is suppose to work and call it a day.
