No, the current Meta is not a pure spam
The biggest usage of cree was in Brawly comps, like Doublebubble and ReinDvaBrawl.
In spam comps like WinstonSpam you nearly always played Echo+Ash, sometimes tracer
In current OWL Meta its the same: If you play a spammy stile you use Echo and Ash, if you play a rather brawly stile you use Brig+Cree
You know why you used him so much in Maymelee? Because both comps are very brawlie

Donāt know what is yall problem with cree here, I donāt play him and win my games playing Ashe/s76 the most. Cree is good at speciefic maps like koth-maps, but maps with highgrounds he sucks hard. And I think having map speciefic hero pick means that hero is ballanced. Tbh his kit just punishes bad closerange plays, and this kit was never changed since his release that much, and he had 47% winrate back in days, then he got these roll and reload buff, which leads him up to 52% winrate, is that much? I donāt think so. Anyway been reverted. +25 hp makes him viable but not op. He have to stay in line where all spam goes through, also his falloff is 20m.

No, I say that if spammy comps are Meta you play Ash and if brawlie comps are Meta you play Cree
Look at Asian hero usage, they have a spammy Meta with Ball+Sigma/Zarya and they play a ton of Ash
On NA ladder you play a lot of Rein and play mostly cree because of that
