Using the hard N word, now I promise you I have reported them but no action will be taken this has happened before and it will happen again.
there should be a auto punishment for specific words in the game like that word. It is NOT OKAY.
when you get mass reported for gameplay sabotage even when you’re not sabotaging anything you get suspended easily but on stuff like homophobia,racism or xenophobia the punishment isn’t as severe.

EDIT: Just opened Overwatch after 3 hours and no in game notification of any action being taken this proves my point.
yeah had someone ask about my icon and if was lgbt and when I said I was gay they were “oh that’s fine I guess at least you’re not a [transphobic slur]” and then proceeded to be very transphobic with their duo joining in. No on said anything and I’ve seen them around since I reported.
In this game being an abhorrent person is meh, but playing moira or sym or something is a cardinal sin lol

such as? the 41%+ suicide rate? 61% of lgbtq being depressed? 36% of having an anxiety disorder? the fact that mental disabilities such as autism and down syndrome are higher among lgbtq folks? there IS no winning with me… even when reading a study on trans people (a one that supports them) shows most trans folks are unhealthier and generally mentally worse than a normal adult
Chat is filtered for most common profanities by default. You need to manually unfilter your chat and click through warning options to disable it. People who have done so aren’t doing it accidentally and were warned about the consequences.
If some people don’t care about seeing it why is it anyone elses business? I’d be more than up for more options that allow you to personalise your chat filters better, though.
The fact they don’t automate an action for that kind of blatant racist remark is just pathetic. They know when they type it. They can track it automatically, and they can give an action automatically. They just don’t do it, for some reason? It’s not like people accidentally type the n word. That’s basically impossible. You know it’s the bad one if they type it with 6 letters.
I have NEVER in my life played a game where other players are more worried about what people say in chat/text.

Regardless, there is a filter available. That doesn’t mean that those who use it offensively shouldn’t be punished though. I just fail to see why other peoples filter options are anyone elses concern.
