I just don't get it

You release an emergency patch for Venture a new hero to buff them, yet you leave your older “New” heros like Lifeweaver and Illari in the dust like discarded trash when your done with them… Why.

Because they’re lost causes. LW and Illari, esp LW got messed up by the S9 changes, it’s clear LW needs changes to the way you play him and should be more damage reliant and Illari lost her two tap potential, along with her Pylon not healing anything and just dying by the wind.

Agree. Kiriko is a new OW2 hero too and she needs her two tap back, but theyre letting her suffer!

She’s one of the best supports in the game, chill.

Thats nice. She can still be one of the best supports when she gets her damn two tap back.

Wait, she got a buff? When? What? Out of the blue?

Lifeweaver and Illari are boring

VENTURE
Developer Comments: As we continue to monitor Venture’s gameplay throughout their release Season, we are making a change today that adds more flexibility to using Drill Dashes. Players will now be less punished for using their Drill Dash above ground and immediately burrowing due to the new accelerated cooldown while underground.

Drill Dash
Cooldown now begins when the ability is used.
Cooldown is no longer decreased by half when used underground.
Cooldown is accelerated by 90% when underground.

Burrow
Added a 0.2-second grace period after the Burrow timer runs out where emerging can still be charged.

So basically, they’ve made Venture less clunky. Which is a good thing for game balance, since they don’t have to factor that into balance decisions (“But it’s awkward to use sometimes” and all that jazz). This is something people don’t often think about.

Wow. This is actually a solid buff. Now we cookin’.

Lifeweaver dosen’t even need much there just refusing to give the community what we keep asking for, is 1 revert that lame as hell passive reload nerf and B more ammo.

There so worried about making him to heal orientated completely even in a environment that has moved away from that there going to drive him into the ground, they can do lots of things without increasing his survivability EVEN FURTHER or his healing they just refuse to do it.

Probably because this is Venture’s inaugural season and they were explicitly over nerfed.
People loved playing them, thought they were fun, they had a good solid pickrate, and a lot of more positive feedback than say Mauga or Illari or Weaver, the kill combo was a bit much and Blizz removed it but Venture fell off hard right after.

Unlike Illari and Weaver who’ve been… Basically bad since release? Venture was a fairly successful launch followed by a hard crash after a few nerfs.
It’s not really fair, but eh. Blizz has only been consistent in being inconsistent.

It’s only a buff if you use dash before burrowing. It’s a nerf when you use it while underground. But consistency and flexibility are good, so I’d call it a buff overall.

I’m secretly very worried that someday, in their mad obsession over making him “healing-focused”, they’re going to completely overhaul his entire kit and utterly destroy everything we love about him

Games so bad lmao what the hell did they do to this game?

Nerf suzu so that it loses immortality and we have a deal

I think as well there like “Aware” of Lifeweavers like us Lifeweaver at his max potential, And I’m not gonna beat around the bush or hide the “Ego” anymore a healbot Lifeweaver compared to an actual good Weaver is night and day, they are trash, they are garbage we have the stats, hell Blizzard has the stats Lifeweavers who can do damage are on another level, league, another plane compared to the ones who just spam heals.

They’ve made it clear time and time again in there dev comments hes a “Throuput healer” that’s supposed to be his job.

But it’s inferior, it will always be inferior always has been, you have to break your neck even further to get that healbot completely playstyle to work with coms and everything compared to just mixing in damage.

And you can also do the same things WHILE mixing in damage.

Season 8 Showed them the best possible shining direction for Lifeweaver, he had everything he was perfect.

He had damage, he had healing, he had movement, Lifeweaver is a lot of hogpodge of abilities thrown together that all come together wonderfully.

It’s like there scared of what season 8 (and previous seasons) but especially what season 8 showed them, that he’s not there completely healbot healboy that they developed.

That style is a failure, it will always be a failure, and won’t be anything less then a failure in of itself, and I know people like to try and say things to like “Get under blizzards skin” or have like a “Ahaha” moment but we have the data they have even MORE data.

I still get the highest heals in the lobby, I still primarily focus on healing, he still does the job they want him to do quite well really well, like for the most part yes I am healing the majority of the time.

But it’s what I do when I’m not healing that makes or breaks my games, allll the way down to the last thorn in his gun.

All the streamers and stuff say he’s a “Heal orintated support” and that that’s the “Safest” and most “effective” way to play him and guess what they still fail? Again, and again, and again, and again, and the only people that ever even notice when he’s good are the people who have been playing him correctly in the first place.

Even when he was the best healbot around they still called him mediocre, they still shunned and ridculed him, he was still called utter garbage, C tier D tier whatever.

I’m holding in my rage right now, but the next time they even TOUCH Lifeweaver buffs changes anything, I don’t want to see a single damn heal change, I don’t want to see any ho changes, maybe a grip cool down reduction but people hate that ability so probably not.

I want the hero buffed in the way that he actually “works” not this healbot fantasy, sure for the most part you heal and you heal a lot with Weaver this will never change nor do I want it to, but the fear that giving him more ammo, his passive reload time back, or hell something good that fear will forever be this heros downfall.

Every aggro Weaver in season 8 still managed to average 10k healing.

I want actual Lifeweaver buffs, Don’t just buff the healbot and his “Survivability” Buff the spammer, buff the duelist, buff the playmaker (hell that’s what yall made him for), buff the shield breaker, the deployable killer, the kill finisher, the master of the assist, buff the actual hero known as “Lifeweaver”.

If they give him ANYTHING meaningful at this point, I’ll scream. Imagine the things we could do with even just a modest increase in ammo for thorns

Do they fear us or something? I remember in the trailer for the cosmic horror season, when they showed Lifeweaver sporting his Harbinger skin, he was using lots of thorns. Actually, it felt like a cool moment of acknowledgement :joy:
