Yes 2 players struggle to put out 35dps or 70dps total.
Dmg is stronger than healing in this game in general. Almost double with headshots
If it were that simple to output dmg the first pick would always take place in 3 seconds.
There’s corners, barriers, range fall offs, movement juking, on top of inaccuracies. And many more factors that make it hard to secure a kill.
The highest healing support is Ana when she can fully focus and doesn’t have to reload and that is like 80hps. Bap is 50-70. Moira is 70… all have downtime on their healing.
You can put a zen orb on genji at 30hps and he can go across the map and it’s still hard to kill through those heals.
It’s different when you have definite value vs theoretical value. Mercy’s healing is as close to definite as it gets. Same with zens since he can also go though barriers
Anyone can pick any hero and rank up. This game is not competitive.
But with mercy especially you can drool a bit while holding left/rightclick and with a little luck you fly through the ranks. Look at some of the “mercy mains” that get posted here and watch them play any other hero.
Your comprehension is abhorrent and you just hold onto this little aim thing like a dog with a bone. It’s not about aim, it’s about need to engage with the enemy team. Lots of heroes do this without a high aim requirement. Rein, Monkey, Moira - none of these heroes need to aim and they’re all fine.
So you can toss this argument in the trash.
I’ve provided you with my problem statement: Mercy’s passive playstyle being able to completely dodge learning how to engage with the enemy team.
Try again.
Which is yet another reason Mercy’s design is terrible.
