So last night, for some strange reason I thought I would torture myself for a couple games of open queue Comp.
Honestly, I felt good about the games, but I would like some input if anyone has time for it:
My very first comp game, I rolled with Ana. Not my best go-to pick for a healer, but then I know she can be useful:

We had one team member that kept commenting throughout the match. Tin I think their name was. Called me out when I died the first time, I’m sure I had made some mistakes, but it happens. Also called out the Moria on our team a few times too. Blamed the loss on the healers, etc. In fact the only player that complained or said anything really. Also died the most. Go figure.
My question, was I that bad overall? Comp had suggested mid-silver after that match. (first placement)
Second game went much better. X08871
Went with Illari. We nearly took all three points on our attack round. Second game, we held first point for the win. Game predicted mid-gold for rank after that match.
Obviously, its going to be all over the place till my placements are done, and to be fair I don’t really care where I end up, but as I said, its been a LONG time since I played Comp at all. At least no one in that match complained.
I don’t blame others for losses, there is no point in it. But I’m sure the replays will tell the tale.
Ill watch your codes when I can, I haven’t been playing properly for a little while though.
My input to you would be not to place too much emphasis on placements, or even each and every match as you’ll need more volume of them to rank properly. A handful of games here and there will never do that. 100 games will put you in the right direction and 1000 even better.
Why did you enter competitive with such a negative mindset, by the way? I’m curious. Do your best, look at ways to improve your play and climb. Enjoy yourself.
did he really blame his team in silver? Reminds me of my master friend buying a silver account… and flaming his team for beeing bad. Like dude… you willinglx bought yourself silver teammates wtf did you expect.
Probably someone who believed there was no such thing as elo hell. But if you watch Emongg’s vod reviews on youtube, they often highlight just how real it can be.
