Of those who care about Mercy:
There are those who want Mercy changed
There are those who do not want Mercy changed
The former group is highly fragmented - I want mass rez, I want rez gone, and so forth.
The latter is united
The two groups are distinct from each other
Because you have a whole new ability called Rez on your E which was nothing before and you do more than just press Q to Rez people cause they are dead.
You can now fly anywhere on the map giving you many choices on who to Heal, Boost or kill.
If you just stand there and hold M1 you are not maximizing the ability that is using it poorly
Then why not change your wording so you never have to explain your terminology?
But that’s not two groups. That’s several, as possible changes are myriad.
Out of curiosity, does anyone notice when you’re doing anything but healing in Valk? I mean, sure it has an effect on the fight, but I wouldn’t say the effect is particularly noticable or visible to team-mates. Have you gotten thanked for anything other than Rezzing lately?
How does rez on cooldown empower a mercy player?
How does flying feely empower mercy as a player?
Why does giving her old ult on an ability empower her player more than a new unique ability to mercy would have?
How do you maximize valk?

Like honestly if you do see how flying anywhere on the map is useful I don’t know what to tell you except learn to play
I literally said valk Is inherently good because of the mobility… it’s inherently good because it does too much and lasts too long thus why it lowers her ceiling.
I am good. I’m a master player. I don’t have to be the number one player in the world in a hero I don’t like.

Flying freely allows for Mercy to feel agile and hard to hit.
Old ult on an ability was too strong so it had to be crippled to be balanced so it’s while it’s powerful, most of the feedback is in the hands of the player being revived.
Valk can be maximized by using it as a fight initiation tool, a mop-up tool, a point stall tool as people fail to look up, or an escape.

Indeed! Flying freely is great! But a good Mercy can already do this for the same effect in her main play? If you are good at it, it’s more of a mini boost, but it flat lines the skill cieling for GA
Exactly. Mercy isn’t empowered, the rezzes person is. Mercy has to expose herself and this is no different than with mass rez. Except now her rez isn’t earned. Her survivability isn’t on mercy, but the competence.of her team or the enemy because of it’s restrictions. Rezzing midfight can feel good, but that is no different than mass rez, which was earned.
And valk doing all of that is why it’s bad! Mercy has to do nothing of her own to do any if this aside from popping it. The push is in her team and not her and it lasts so long the initiative or clean up doesn’t inherently come from valk either which is WHY I think it’s bad.

This is what I am talking about it like you have not even played mercy
I kill widow with GA frequently if I have a dva or Winston or pharah or manage to super jump on console (not easy) . GA is her best aspect of her kit imo.
Pistol has always been a part of her kit that I use.
So your honestly going to sit there an say the Being able to fly, have unlimited ammo and shoot faster doesn’t give you more opportunities than GA.
They are they same thing cause one time you got a kill with mercy pistol
