Why have they removed the tanks from those game modes?

This is the worst update i ever experienced.
Definetly NO BATTLE PASS.
I did cope with everything, even the McCree name change, but this is too much…This game just lost so much of its fun…i am so disappointed.
Total mayham you will be missed…
I dont know how i can continue playing this game… Maybe i cant.
Blizzard i was here since Warcraft 3, you never disappointed me so much like today.

They pushed an update that made the game much fairer for everyone. I see that as a win.
Let’s be clear, in Arcade and Open Queue games, teams that picked multiple tanks were very difficult to beat, especially if one or two of the other players on that team were playing support. It pretty much necessitated that the other team switch to tank heroes as well if they wanted a shot at winning the game. For arcade modes like 3v3 elimination, someone picking a tank hero on a team often meant that team was going to have a high chance of winning simply due to how durable tanks were compared to other heroes.
And for obvious reasons, seasonal game modes like Battle for Olympus were heavily skewed towards the tank heroes dominating while non-tank heroes didn’t perform nearly as well and that was mostly due to the increased health pools they had over other non-tank heroes.
Now that is no longer an issue. Now the playing field is fair.

imagine if supports had their healing reduced in those modes.
speaking of which, someone should try to stack supports
I have found the hp nerf actually necessitates further the need to play multiple tanks now
Playing 1 tank by themself is too squishy, you have to have 2+ tanks to cover each other to make it work
So the change’s actually force the problem more
Yeah they should not be removed. I got Tanks in MH no prob.
I had so much fun in total mayhem as support healing those big tanks while they eat all those abilitys

Except that support stacking isn’t a problem compared to tanks
I’ve played with 3+ supports before
Unless they were significantly better than the enemy team it really isn’t a good idea

After playing a few hours of open queue yesterday, tanks still felt quite impactful. Health nerfs hurt some more than others, like hog compared to orisa. And even with the 150 health nerf ball is probably net buffed cuz of his other changes.
It because quite apparent how strong tanks abilities were that many seemed just fine with less health, like orisa, ball, rein, sigma etc.
They didnt remove tanks, they just lowered their HP because they’re significantly harder to kill, and having 3-4 of them on a team was a guranteed win if the opposing team didnt follow suit.

As much as on paper that sounds good, The supports would still be outclassed by tanks and DPS in terms of CC, Damage, and Survivability.
Even if you did like a Brig/Zen/Lucio/Moira/Kiriko team it could theoretically perform well, but their lower overall health pools would still leave them vulnerable to burst heroes
Removal of tanks? Lol tanks are literally dps with higher health pools. They even dish out as much damage and some can even dish out more damage than the actual dps. Face reality, tanks were ruining every mode in the game. Now players can actually play whatever they want.
And without the dps part
They are ruining it because blizzard was stupid enough to make the game 5v5
Hoe is it fair when sojourn and widow still exist
They will always exist.
But multi-tank groups were never fair. You either went multi-tank yourself, hoped the enemy team was bad, or you lost.
