They always REFUSE to swap and force you to play around them. Even if you hard pocket them, they hardly contribute anything most of the time if the enemy team has a brain.

Are you dps or heals ? Heals are not winning the game without their rein in the front lines adding pressure.
Dps is just a prop holder. Rein creates pressure so DPS can press Q. In short he distracts.
There used to be a time in Overwatch where that was the right way to play. Play around your tank. But now, everyone wants to play Call of Duty and try and get kills.

In my anecdotal experiences, I see opposing reins swap very frequently unless the enemy team is steamrolling.
If they don’t pin into the backline and spam voicelines he’s a top 3 tank in the game

These are bad reins
Reins that have glory through their veins knows they have the responsibility of leading your team to victory, even if it means switching when hard countered.
Playing around your tank or tanks meant it was safe , tanks especially there was these tanks called offtanks that actually peeled.

Absolute tank touched point against a ult knowing she was going to die but trusting it was the best move and hope for team to secure and me and our moira did.
Bubbling fellow dps and supports not for charge but save them when virused or when their tank was looking at them.

Have you tried replacing them with quality leather reins? I had the same issue but after switching from those cheap nylon ones, my horse control improved drastically. Also, make sure they’re properly conditioned - nobody likes stiff, cracking reins during a competitive match.
Pro tip: If your reins are too long and keep getting tangled, you can always get them adjusted by your local tack shop. Really helped my positioning in teamfights.
And remember - a good rider never blames their reins. Maybe try some dressage classes?
I’ve never seen this in game, and I’m usually the Rein player in these matches. You’d think my presence would encourage egotistical Rein’s to beat me, but it just doesn’t happen.
Also, why in the world shouldn’t people play who they like? Your first issue is “I hate playing with Reins because they want to play Reinhardt, and I don’t want them to play Reinhardt because then I have to play around Reinhardt. He should do what I want instead of what he wants”, and that’s just unreasonable.
That is heresy. Us Reinhardt mains are honorable. Genji and Sombra players are cowards. It is quite obvious where the crown lies.

You mean OTP Reins ? Yeah well … many OTPs are bad and act like that so thats another reason to play MH. The true OW experience 
PD: And yes, its a great experience because 99% of OTPs hate that mode (for obvious reasons).
