It’s a lovely achievement for me as it’s been a rough climb up from bronze.
I play support and try so hard but it’s been hard solo queue most of the time.
1900-2000 was painful as you win then you lose over and over.
Granted lost 2 matches after i hit gold but still hit gold lol.
Anyway thanks to all the great tips I have read and been given on this forum.
I mainly play Moira,Brig and Lucio.

Gold is worse than silver IMO. Lots of egos
Well done for achieving it

Awareness for me I think. I’m trying to get less deaths.
As support sometimes hard to know when to leave someone to die and when to let them die and regroup.
I play lot of Moira and quite a bit of brig too. Brig I’m getting better with but need to be more careful at times. Also need to practice hitting Whipshot at different angles

Try tracking at least 1 enemy player ultimate charge. I know it sounds complicated but watch the killfeed to see who on the enemy team has killed the most of your allies, then if they play differently.
Examples may include;
they stopped being aggressive, they for certain have ultimate
they haven’t used theirs in a while, like 2 team fights.
When going against a baptiste, I, as a dva think of immortality as a secondary ultimate. try and bait it out and then destroy it before attempting a large scale assault.

Nice work getting into gold! It’s kinda tough, but if you could get yourself there, you can make your way out too!

Thank you both…
Great tips.
When on brig I look out for reaper as kinda obvious when he will ult.
Last night there was a couple on team chat and I said dva will prob ult soon. 15 secs later she did. I get a rough idea but can improve on it.
What do you do when you see a mcree going to high ground and no one in chat? You know what’s about to happen.
I want to keep getting better and would like to try to learn more healers better. Will practice them in QP. As it stands as said it’s Moira Brig and Lucio I play. Moira I’m best with.
Thanks again!

if there is no way you can get to him, youre pretty much toast. But what I would do is try to get behind cover so that way youre somewhat protected.
If you want to, learn ana, so that way you can sleep McCree when he pops ult. You can also do that with Sigma now. I get a lot of messages from salty sigma players who hate me sleeping them

Thanks mate. I don’t have best aim if I’m honest. That said Xbox just had bit if a buff to Anna aiming which could help me
Can I ask one more potentially stupid questions. In overtime do I even try to contest if I know I will literally die within seconds? Some say yes some say keep deaths low.
Sometimes hard to know if death worth it or not. Or do I just go and contest knowing I will die as outnumbered as a support.
Agreed - not sure why but lately I have seen more of an attitude from Gold Ana’s than just about anyone else, and that’s saying something. Folks, just playing Ana doesn’t make you pro, certainly not at Gold. I was crap-talked by an Ana that was literally high silver on my Widow play… despite pinning down their team on the point and later in spawn late in the match… I was criticized for “poor end game positioning” … uh huh, right “Ana”… its easy to stand in the back and shoot people in the back…
Congratulations! Hope your climbs continue!
