I feel so bad for sym mains

she’s still extremely hard to get value the same way a hanzo can. but she’s still a lot of fun! and to surprise of many she actually requires higher skill than many other “skill based” dps, because of her many weaknesses and hard counters.

I don’t dare playing her in competitive though

But her beam didn’t rEqUiRe AiM so away it goes. Like I said, up the damage and it would be miles better.

All they need to do is give it a charge rate of 1 second per a level like her old beam and make the tick rate what it was on ptr before their terrible bandaid fix.

Although her old beam back would be nice too but they don’t like doing reverts.

To be fair, with better short range heroes in the game she had largely became unplayable.

The rework made her far more healthy to play against. Thank god there is no more lock-on and shield generator.

Lol during this time here i am playing Symm in gold in Asian server, never got flamed or whatever, just did my job… Many Symm players are happy with the rework, but as always, grumpy complaints will always make more noise than happy greetings…

Most of the people complaining now dont even play her. Looks like Forum needs smthing to talk about i guess, no more Brigg calls for a new hot topic.

Literally the same. I haven’t played Sym 3.0 since the rework hit live with the broken tick rate. She is currently a useless hero.

Rework was good, and exactly what she needed.
Small qol changes and she will be perfect.

Sym would be good to have on your team if they would communicate when placing their teleporters, but in my experience, sym’s almost never talk.

Give her a chance and you’ll see, totally new logic, you re gonna be a bit lost in the beginning, but really enjoyable :smiley:

Shes a totally new hero, just because someone found 2.0 enjoyable doesn’t mean they will like the frankensym she is now.

But yeah i agree with that argument she feels totally new, actually as much as Symm 2.0 compared to 1.0 (They didn’t even changed her abilities that much except the shield and ult but the feeling was so crazy, remember the memes and videos…), but that’s the purpose of a rework right?

My all point is; to grumpy sym 2.0 players, give it a try, a real one, try to learn the new 3.0 before making your opinion and coming to post here how useless she is, because she’s stronger than ever.

I went into it wanting to like it and i did for a while i made a huge post defending 3.0 to the people i now agree with. because i finally see what they were saying she is no longer sym they didnt buff her they didnt rework her they outright repalced her. whats worse is they still didnt fix her core issues infact they made them worse.

2.0 had one instant value ability 3.0 has none, 2.0 had long windup 3.0 has even more.

She is not useless but she is not stronger at all she is just more consistent but that has nothing to do with her core design and everything to do with her throwable turrets and faster moving orb which should of been how they were in the first place.

I did I gave her months. And the fact is she is weaker. Sym 2.0 was an easy gm hero. I could play her with just gamesense and positioning and be able to deal with whatever was thrown at me. Sym 3.0 is not like that at all. She can be very good but she is so much easier to take out than an entrenched sym 2.0. In far more situations I find myself thinking if I had some of my old abilities I would be able to do a ton more work and I wouldn’t be a detriment to my team.

Shield gen was stupidly op and it worked with whatever your team was doing. Tp relies on your team working with you to get the maximum value.

The biggest reason I am upset is that if sym 2.0 was in the game right now she would be an amazing hero in comp. dive fell out of the meta with brig. And sym not only heavily synergieses with brig but she also countered her with pierce. With the rise of deathball sym 2.0 would have been insane in comp

The meta shifted towards syms favor but she was reworked so she benefited a lot less than she would have normally

they literally just need to revert her ult to 2.0 and speed up TP cast time, why are they so damn obstinate.

And change her primary to a frontal cone 10m range 60-90-120m 1sec ramp. Oh and let her charge her alt fire for an additional second to give it pierce

Shield gen was op. Stacking health is something the devs have been trying to get rid of. There isn’t really a chance at all for it to come back. I abused shield gen when it was out and that ult was the biggest contributor to a 70% winrate in gm
it shouldn’t come back without a lot of tweaks or else it will be bad for the game
