I don't understand why having LESS information on your teammates is helpful?

TBH I only go through profiles when someone picks Hanzo, Widow, or some other high skill hero because I am in Silver

There is no other reasonable explanation for why they would add easier access to stats. So no, I don’t think this is just up to our individual interpretations. I may be speculated, yes; but I am also being reasonable. You are not.

Elfcrippler. Let me make it simple to you.

Now. Im a flex player like you. But some people arent communicative or anything. Like for us, its alright. But its an issue for mains.
Example. 6v6 Your Team got 2 Mercy Mains. And you are a Dud now cause both Mercy are private and you got a duo in your team who is good in Mccree, but is Mercy cause of Pharah. They wont communicate saying “We want mercy” One gonna go DPS and other Goes tank and you will lose. Information is necessary for a good balanced setup teams.

Another is. There is a Silver to Gold Edge Plat, who has been playing Hanzo and been doing pretty well. People will hate on this hanzo as he climbs up cause people kinda see Hanzo trolls a lot although this hanzo is legit good. We cant see his wins or win percentage cause Blizz puts this private profile instead of working on the heroes. Issues are there.

Add to it, you can see what your enemies mains. And as we are flex, we can select appropriate counters at the start of the match itself.

I’m glad someone gets it. I’m pretty lost as to what do in situations now, and the response of, “JUST TALK TO YOUR TEAM” isn’t helpful when no one has mics and no one wants to cooperate even if they do. The reason I am flex is because I want to cooperate and build a good team comp even when my team don’t.

This change just makes that so much harder.

You said this so perfectly and I agree with you, if I fill, (which I do for most games) then I will be looking at who plays who best and this update has made it almost impossible to fill.

Completely agree. They can literally forge their dream comp and restrict roles/require public profile or whatever requirements they want. But they’re probably too lazy to do that so they just continue to harass other people in public games about their hero choices.

Yeah, yeah. Anyone who prefers public profiles clearly spends their time harassing other players about their hero choices. Whatever.

I think its good to tend towards some role. I flex play as well all the time and never had to rely upon profile because I hated trying to take the time to look at it.

My focus tendency is toward tanking and I’ll play DPS/support as needed. If anything by you picking something at the start can let the other flex players or non flex players pick something now that at least 1 person picked and if the team is tending towards something whacky you can flex repair that by swapping off X for something else. If no one went healing you can swap off tank for healing.
