gold is a deadzone that is impossible to get out of once you get in it, I have 2 wins in the last 48 hours, I limbo before rank 5 and rank 4, but atm looking like Im headed to silver…I really hope their are negative ranks once you hit to the end of bronze, negative gold would be a nice thing

Getting out is easy if you know what you’re doing.

To be honest, of I remember correctly, at the start of the drive event a lot of players admitted to deranking just to make getting the purple tag easier, so they might have to wait till the new season for this to be over.
WoW makes more money for blizz than OW, always has.
And rivals match making is causing people to complain over there too.
It’s not a problem in either game, but it will always be a subject of discussion/tears.
literally 90% of my games. It’s so aggravating. I may not be the best player but some of these teams I get put on make me think the game thinks i belong in the lowest rank possible by how brain-dead teammates are
They’ll be the same MMR as you.
But, try not to confused team mates performing badly, or picking weaker comps for being less skilled.
Sometimes, matches just suck. Especially when he season done and people are just crusing through.
You have no idea what these ranks are if you say that.
It sounds to me like you started playing overwatch, quickly calibrated to platinum or quickly ranked up by chance and never got stuck at gold.
Gold is one of the hardest, if not the hardest rank in the game due to the huge skill gap between players and the high level of competition. Gold is the rank that has the highest percentage of players.
It is easier to compete at higher ranks due to the fact that there are fewer players.

it is NOT the fact that I can’t get out of gold it is the fact that I have been playing since ow2 s1 so I actually DID climb all the way from bronze 5 to plat, but my most high ranked role is support which is d2 was m5 but throwers during the drives brought me down.
Anyway. I climbed to peak plat 2 tank, and lost that to wild matchmaking and a certain meta we shall not talk about…
With dps, I have played that role the most out of the 3 roles and I have absolutely dedicated time, patience, skill, aim at all the heroes I play, yet I suffered in gold, and again, I can get out and I have gotten out. I am saying that since its a wide group of players as the most disperse rank, you can get the absolute worst that do not deserve even bronze at this point.
I have so much time in DPS and I will tell you, I become the better player, I make the better plays and ask the team help and do the same, but sometimes (which got even worse in drives due to QP warriors thinking they are hot sh*t) you will get that dps that will have 2k damage 1 kill and 12 deaths in the span of 10 minutes or a support that actually eats rocks and stands behind a wall and says hmm should I move to heal my tank or fall back (fight is absolutely winnable they just chose to throw a whole support slot away); I’ll fall back for absolutely no reason and let my tank die.
There is so much horrendous nonsense skewed through gold-plat. As of writing I managed to get back to plat 4 on DPS (peak plat 3), I have been absolutely rocking Venture and I love them so much, with that I say that you know nothing of me, yes I make mistakes so do the bloody pros, cut the crap, people make bad plays, people make mistakes, I am not saying I am a perfect player, I am saying im a good enough player that knows AND DESERVES a better rank and not wanting players that don’t know their rights from lefts. So never ever say again that I AM A GOLD PLAYER.

It’s like your asking all learner driver going to high way route 50 and see how many of them be killed or kill others.
As a normal driver you wants to avoid this stupid traffic.
No, there are too many learner driver that even 2am driving is not safe.

Kinda the double edged sword in a game like this. Stat padding does need to account for something, but that can also invite people who abuse numbers. The game feels more like an MMO than a competitive ladder. You’ll climb, but with the current matchmaker, you’ll see a lot of poor quality games, so the 50 game climb might be a 250 game climb.
For me, because mercy is so overwhelmingly undertuned I’ve basically become the terror of plat 
I can get really silly rez’s that would normally never work. It’s grown my stream and other social medias much faster than it did when I was just another average player in my rank. I’ve given up a lot of SR because I don’t play the promotional hero, Juno… but at the same time, my anxiety is low because no one can shoot me, and I can do silly things.
The bad thing is if mercy becomes a competitive hero again, Ill get in that habit of doing wild things, and throw against good players
