I wanted to play Overwatch during the event to earn the Halloween goodies, but I’m completely unable to as I keep getting booted mid-match from losing connection to the game server.
I’ve tried flushing my dns, renewing IP, disabling proxy server, everything, and nothing works.
What do I do?

I’d recommend to try running a WinMTR to capture this issue during the match to help locate the source of the issue. Keep the WinMTR running for a total of 10 minutes and get the results back to us here!

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud ProviderLooks like some lag between your computer and the router, with a response time of 251ms. Are you wireless? If so, try a cable. Make sure you reboot all devices on your network, too.
I’ve been having the same issue all night. I can normally play just fine but today I’ve barely been able to get through a single game. I’m actually being penalized now due to “leaving” my last game. I honestly didn’t try the test suggested above but I don’t seem to have a problem with any other game launchers or anything relating to the internet except trying to play Overwatch today. Any suggestions?
Without running the test, it’s hard to diagnose any connection issues.
As Nicole said to Jokerade, if you’re on a wireless connection try using a wired connection instead. Otherwise, try reboot your devices on the network (including the modem/router).
I’m wireless because it’s the only way, I can’t have a wired one at all because the router is downstairs in my house.
You probably have a lot of interference happening in your home. You might try changing the wireless channel to a less congested one.
