Similar ideas were meant for OWL teams I believe for world cities, but the problem I always had with the mentality is when teams swap out every season with new people what is there to get behind? The familiarity and identity is destroyed every season.
NYXL and Dragons first year was an amazing story because it was like dragons never got a win while NYXL always were winning. Then teams were disbanded and suddenly Dragons became like the best team ever while NYXL got dissolved as well. By OWL S2 and S3 I stopped following because like there was no more continuity anymore.
