I was wrong. Freja might be top 3 most braindead things I’ve ever tried to kill in Overwatch. Please fire whoever even conceptualized this hero.

All i’ve learned with bans is that there isn’t enough ban slots. I can’t ban both cass, freja and sojourn so at least one of the braindead free value burst damage heroes is going to slip through and make the game unbearable.
It’s genuinely unfathomable how brainless burst damage is STILL a problem in overwatch in the biggest of 2025’s. I’ve never seen a more incompetent dev team in my life.
I genuinely struggle to figure out what they do right. They can’t design heroes well, they can’t balance their game, they can’t design good new modes, it’s like… jesus man.

It go so bad I was practically begging people not to ban Sombra, but to ban Soujourn and Doom… The tears that came I wasn’t sure were from despair or manic laughter lol.
But from now on if people throw their vote on Sombra I won’t be helping them-it’s on them, I prefer to help people who work as a team

The only time Sombra slipped through for me the past few weeks was because some Bastion tried to ban my Genji for some reason. That was a mistake. My Sistah Spice and I both decided to ban Bastion instead and a Reinhardt joined us (ROFL).
I did not need to play that game, however. The pansy left the game. Where do they find these people? So you can ban my hero and it’s sunshine and daisies? But we ban YOUR hero and you refuse to play?

I’m at least at the rank where I think people have gotten over banning sombra (for the most part) but it’s like… the few times where sojourn or freja slip through. The game IMMEDIATELY devolves into “which team has the better player on this busted dps hero” and nothing else matters.

You know what must be done. Friend or foe…blood will be spilt on the field of battle, regardless of consequence of either side. Should the traitor be on the field of battle with you-you must betray their trust, and watch their corpse fall to the floor…then tbag the crap outta them

So, like, which kind of dps do you consider not brainless? Because I can think of at least 15 other heroes that many people 'round these parts would consider brainless.
Necros believes that Genji is the only DPS in the game that requires a brain and perhaps he is right. I do not know, I cannot think for myself… But if I could, I would agree with Necros.
Echo, tracer, genji, venture, hanzo, and weirdly ashe.
Cause I feel like with ashe, I can bait coach gun easily enough and that’s that. It’s not overly oppressive mobility, she can’t one shot, her CC is tied to her mobility, and dynamite just exists.
Freja is literally just mobility spam on top of burst damage. Sojourn has mobility and a one shot. Cass is a mini tank for some reason and has CC.

At least half of those heroes dump their cooldowns on anything they single out.
I mean if you want I can do the same thing to and just go around over generalizing every hero til we just reach the silly conclusion of “everything is braindead because yay!”

Bans are dumb in general
Just plain wrong for the game….
but also just how they are/aren’t used…had to laugh on more than one occasion at people complaining about balls and dooms…like have you considered a) banning them or b) not banning the heroes that keep them in check?
Or my personal favorite….a years worth of sojourn complaints….bans? Nope….gotta focus on stuff like symmetra

I agree 100%, was there thru OW 1 bans. They didn’t work, the new bans are not working. The team balancing will never make it so some characters aren’t overly banned.
So logically next step is them choosing which characters are banned weekly. Again and that will fail. So bans will stop soon.
Freja has an almost 100% ban rate in top ranks according to the devs.
This should say everything we need to know
