So this season I decided to play a lot of stadium again and I immediately noticed that people there will report you for literally everything.
Wrong items? “XY is trolling, please report.”
Having a bad round? “XY is trolling, please report.”
Losing a game? “XY is so bad and made us lose on purpose, please report.”
Waiting for team to reset? “XY is afk, please report.”
I recieved two warnings within a short period of time by just playing Stadium without insulting other people or saying bad words. I may have said things like “gg, can’t do anything against that” (which does NOT mean I give up!) or calling out the bug abusing Mei players.
You can’t say anything anymore without offending someone. The report system needs A BIG OVERHAUL. Everytim I type something I need to think twice or even thrice if anything in that sentence, even if the word is just “poop”, could offend anyone and I’m super tired of it.
Then you have evidence you never said anything bad, the problem is.. The moderation is AI and done automatically.
It’s really lame, and butt-backwards, so just play normally and ignore everyone, and don’t even type at all.
Best thing I ever did was hide/disable chat.

You can play and use whatever items you want. No one can stop you.
What i suggest is don’t interact with them in chat because they will report you. Keep chat off and do what you want.
I really thought about turning off the chat, but I’d hate that. This is a team-game after all and sometimes you encounter nice people or people you know and you just want to have a nice chat…
I might aswell be reported for “no communication” lmao.
You’re playing the wrong game for that. However most of what you’ve mentioned could easily and permanently be fixed for good if Blizzard themselves removed chat with the enemy team. Only then would we be free from players who use that chat in order to get others to mass report you. No longer would players have to live in fear since hiding text would prevent you from knowing they were doing such things. Doesn’t that sound much better?

I spam Stadium, no warnings or offenses ever. Which makes me not believe that there isn’t an issue on your side. It takes a lot of evidential reports to get warnings, yet alone get banned.
You’d be surprised if I had a chat log…
