I am laughing at the people who said that this game is dying and that the blizzard employees do not care for this game.
Yes I will admit, the amount of players have dropped but there are still fans out there of the game who have stuck around since the beta came out such as myself, and I am proud of that.
Blizzard just literally pulled out the big guns and sprayed a teaser even after archives ended and they just pulled off a huge thing called the workshop which will be by far one of the best things added to the game.
So this is my thank you to the blizzard employees and I appreciate you giving us all this free content and teasers even when we don’t deserve it sometimes. Thank you.
And for the people who said this game is trash and that this game will go downhill and that the feature will probably be something stupid, in your face!! Overwatch is making a comeback

I really like your positive attitude towards the devs. And to some extent I agree.
But please don’t talk as if they release free content FOR US. The only reason someone does something for free is when they benefit from it. At least in this industry.
Overwatch would have died without this free content.
So yes we should be glad and you can also be thankful. But don’t say “even if we don’t deserve it sometimes” because they don’t do it for you in the first place.
But again, I like your positive attitude and it is nice that you enjoy it.

Thank you but I feel like even when doing free content some players feel that they are entitled to get that when in reality all these events could be DLCs you’d have to be purchasing

That is true. We shouldn’t take it for granted either.
It is more like a symbiosis. It is not perfect and both parties could improve but it is nevertheless better than nothing - again for both parties.

How does that affect the main game? It doesn’t, so who cares.
Oh it does. It gives the comunity stuff to do, so they stick to the game.
But then again…why do i exspect something that isnt bashing the devs or the game for you…

I think its awesome. All those people complaining will find some other game to enjoy, and the rest of us who enjoy yhe game will get more cool stuff like the Workshop

How many ppl are actually using custom games to begin with? No one is going to lose their sleep over it. It is just a bit more advanced match settings. I give it 2 weeks after release before everyone forgets it even exists.
it’s not about doing them, you just need a small part doing them, but they are getting played by a lot of players.
So how is that going to “save the game” again?

Its just a nice addition for the game for the ones wanting to work with it, or play the new modes.
The devs will probebly work on it too, to make it better.
And why again do we need to save a totaly fine game?

Only delusional optimists think that the workshop would outright save a game.
(that might I add doesn’t NEED saving, to begin with)
It’s been two days this thing has been out and it’s still early in development. I believe that they will add more and more as we go along.
And that prospect is exciting
Just look how TF2, a game that’s been alive for nearly 10 years is still kicking because valve let their community have free reign to create things for the game, and o think that’s what keeps tf2 off the deep end.
I think I’ll be able to say the same for OW.
The feature still needs fleshing out though

I just wish they were more transparent with what they are doing. Most people are so pessimistic because the devs never really say anything. We don’t know whats coming until it’s already out.
Lol here we are again. Doesn’t effect the exact modes you like? Therefore it must not benefit the game at all for anyone!

So queue times for the main game get even worse because the people left enjoy the experience they can craft for themselves far more than anything Blizzard will give them? Wonderful.
