Yeah, I’m saying if you want to have a counteplay mechanic that drastically violates counterplay design guidelines. Then it’s gotta have some overwhelming broadly available mechanic to add more counterplay.
Such as,
Near instakill assault rifles (CounterStrike, CoD)
Downed+Crawl+DownShield+AnybodyCanRez (Apex)
Literally the lowest health character in the game, and bascially dead to rights at close range against almost anything in the game. (Team Fortress 2)
And “A handful of the 39 characters can deal with Widow in a way that’s not CounterSniping or Hiding”, isn’t good enough for that.
What do you think they copied off titanfall 2?
Sojourns slide/ jump is pretty much the same as stompee5’s from Destiny. Same with her grenade it’s one of the stasis grenades

Bastion is basically a copy of their bots, right down to that zombie walk animation in one of this emotes

Pharah Ult is basically the Northstar Ult
Ults in general
Sensor Throwing Knife = Sonic Arrow
Wall run = Lucio Wall Ride
Not many other FPS games had double jumping that I can think of (Although Genji is more of that Borderlands 2 character otherwise)
A device that lets you travel through time, or phase into another reality, that’s glowing and mounted outside the body
Even a lot of the maps fit the same aesthetic.

i.e. Slidejumps on steroids, Fuse Grenade, R301 Not-Hitscan Projectile Assault Rifle, with a charged Sentinel Sniper shot
And even her aesthetic would fit right into the Apex/Titanfall universe.
Also strange that Overwatch used to be call “Project Titan”.

You ever try stompee5 hunter before it got nerfed? mobility was amazing.
Sojourns primary is apex being projectile. Rail could have come from Halo. Goodman even mentioned Halo when talking about Sojourn
Tbh, haven’t actually played Destiny 1 or 2, but I probably should considering I really like horde shooters. But I keep hearing Warframe is better.
The gunplay in Destiny feels great, besides flinch. I like that you can take the loot into pvp

Well yeah, I’ll probably eventually play it. It’s just, kinda expensive I think, and the company went through massive layoffs which has me a bit warry.
But I might play it when it’s on deep discount and I can get friends into it.
It’s f2p for some story missions, strikes. You could even try out pvp. I suggest you get a decent gun first before trying out pvp.
Yeah, I hate fighting Widow as much as the next person, but I do feel bad for my friend who’s a Widow main. He’s moved on to Ana and Kiriko now.

that question aside, widow deserves to be punished until the burst healing and immo’s in the game are reduced to a degree that makes widow easier to kill in general.
