I absolutely hate the Mei Buffs

Honestly!!!
Like what point is there in freezing a barrier? I’m why does the barrier have visuals for being frozen if it doesn’t do anything?

I can’t tell if this guy is a troll account, or serious.

How can you be so selfish?

EXACTLY. I always thought, when the barrier is frozen, it take twice as much damage… but nope. NOTHING AT ALL. :broken_heart:

You’ll probably hate me for saying this but I love playing as and against Mei. It’s something different from the norm and, while slightly frustrating, I find seeing the weird pose my character was in while frozen pretty funny and I like Mei’s unchanging expression as she fires an icicle into your skull.

I find too much humour in it, I’m sorry.

Um, I think she needed them. She still doesn’t exactly have the highest of play rates, can still be countered, and was due for a buff.

I’m sorry if you don’t like her, but she needed some help. I do not have an issue playing with or against Mei.

I personally highly enjoy playing Mei. Whenever not playing her, I don’t really have any problems dealing with an enemy Mei. Her buffs were definitely needed. Also, they don’t make that much of a difference.

2/3 of the Roster can just outright avoid or otherwise survive her freeze/headshot combo.

The recent buff, although a direction I did not expect, doesn’t change that. Stop engaging Mei in small closed off corridors.

That aside, I’m sorry, but “I don’t like fighting her” is NOT a reason to keep a Hero in F tier indefinitely. I don’t like fighting Genji because it’s hard to land good hits on him. Does that mean he should be nerfed for that reason? Absolutely not.

Basically what you’re asking for is to jut delete Mei because you don’t like her.

That’s dumb.

It’s okay that some fights don’t just boil down to “I shot the first bullet and didn’t miss.”

The only thing I don’t like about Mei is her ability to stall. Either she shouldn’t gain hp from ice cubing or ice cube and wall should share the same CD.

It was necessary for her to not be a garbage pick.

Having a Mei means you’re losing out on a conventional dps or tank so at least let her be good at her niche.

Just make her [and reaper] not count toward objectives while immune to damage. Stalling shouldn’t be a niche. Heroes need to be good enough to play in actual combat.

The only thing most players hate about her currently is she is the Queen of skins in the game. She has more of them and emotes than any other character. That’s where the hate is for her now.

In terms of her placement in the game? She’s still no threat, which is why most players are rooting for more buffs in the future to her. Only new players that don’t know the game yet hate Mei and Bastion from the start.

Im glad she got buffed (she definitely needed it)

But getting instantly slowed even if she just hits my foot while I’m above her does get annoying

Yea, agreed. I feel like Mei has always been good, way better than what people would lead you to think. She’s just not good on every single map or in every situation and that’s fine. A hero like her shouldn’t be. I don’t think the latest buff was necessary.

As a Rein main, Mei is a pain in my armored rear end, but to be honest I have not noticed much difference from before. Do I like being frozen and having this 4 foot tall woman smile at me as she shoots me in the face? No, but it doesn’t ruin the game. I am sure Mei’s don’t like the fact I have their Cryo Freeze timed so I hit them with a charge when they come out. They either have to cancel early and not get full use or die. Everyone annoys someone

I basically only get good use out of her on Point A Hanamura and Point A King’s Row due to the wall covering the only large entrance.

Any other map people seem to be decent at getting around it, and the wall is really her only strength other than just not being easy to kill.

I guess she can fight Tracer decently but it’s as much luck as it is skill, it’s just that she is tanky so she has a little time for that luck to go in her favor.

Edit: I guess Nepal: Village to some extent as well.
