So I started playing OW2 on Console for the past few months with no problems and no lag at all.
But since the season 15 update I have been lagging hard since day 1.
Entering a game always says “Applying Update” then takes forever to load and sometimes its stuck on the loading screen for so long that I get booted from the game and receive a ban.
If I do manage to load into a game eventually, character models take at least a minute or 2 to load in and the game will sometimes randomly freeze.
And before anybody says that maybe its a internet connection issue, its not. I have already reset my router, checked my wifi and done all my troubleshooting etc. Even if i play multi player on other games they all run smoothly and Overwatch is the only game that im having issues with.
I have also tried uninstalling/reinstalling, changing DNS servers etc
Sooo anybody else having the same problems or anybody have any solutions to try? 
I would appreciate it!

I’ve been dealing with the same thing, seems to be a problem exclusive to PS5 players. Hopefully they fix it soon
Experiencing a similar issue. On PS5, after only 3 or so matches I will begin to get extreme lag at the start and end of each match that gets worse the longer I play without restarting my system.
Same issues here, glad I’m not the only one. I have no faith in blizzard fixing a console issue this quickly though.
Yup, I have seen multiple posts similar to mine and all of them are issues on consoles.
2 weeks later, still no fix…
Yup still having the same issue at the end of the season another blizzard moment unfortunately. Hopefully they patch it in the next season but I’m not hopeful.
Any update on the lag issue? When I start a game the first 30 seconds or so is unplayable and then it just starts working.
I noticed it started to happen on the game menu too, ps5 user.
Want to play drive on competitive bit have just been suspended, because the lag went on for so long, could not even get off the hero selection screen
