How about 6sec grapple, and 150hp
First, I really enjoy reading your post and comments, they seem logical, practical and fair. So thank you, it’s refreshing.
Second, I’ve never played OW1 or ranked in OW2, so I’m opinion doesn’t apply to those worlds, but I like Widow where she is now. I feel she is a bit of a glass cannon and can be easily countered. I didn’t feel this way at first, was constantly frustrated getting killed by her, but then I realized, I know nothing of her, maybe I am missing something. So I started playing Widow and have come to respect her much more. Everyone has their own gaming abilities and to me, I have to practice with Widow to feel like I can pull my weight with her. To me, she requires skill, practice, patience and good game sense.
I feel like people on this forum get upset and rarely explore their frustrations to see what they can learn or even discover what they didn’t even realize they’d missed. I wonder how many others would be less frustrated like I was if they would just try to learn more about a Hero, their kit, their strengths and weaknesses, before getting so upset and crying “ This heros is OP”.
How is she a glass cannon, with 200hp and a long range escape ability?
She’s a cannon, for sure, but I don’t see the glass.

She can’t physically defend herself well upclose, and tends to die if her escape fails. You could have a hero like Reinhardt and he’d still be a glass cannon if he had poor defense.

Actually glass, but she can live if she retreats a lot, or limits her positioning.

- Decrease bodyshot damage to 100, increase headshot multiplier to 3x
- Grapple Hook can now be interrupted by damage.
This is a good idea, too. I think lowering her health, but buffing her escape will prevent situations like widow escaping, and then dying anyway due to tank mobility.
The other nice part is that mobility is fun.
Which makes it socially more acceptable.
If you buff Grapple cooldown then it’d be a good idea to make it interruptable. I really don’t like the idea of Widow being able to grapple every 6 seconds without some drawback.

Sojourn also has the health of someone like Soldier 76 and a great M1 in addition to her M2. I think low health, poor defense, high damage and mobility would be more fair.
Which brings me to my next point.

Is also a good idea. Low health, high damage and mobility, but poor defense AND you can break her hook too. I think these would be great changes to try.
Either that, or the lowering her clip and buffing her reload.

the time to scope was drastically shorter or a quick scope. charge time was super fast so she almost had the fire rate of ashe. more ammo i think
She was also able to one shot body shot Tracer without any damage boosting. If she was damage boosted she could one shot body shot all of the 200 HP roster. She took a 20% hit on her base damage in exchange for an addition 50% on headshot.
yea reason why they nerfed the body shot but upped the crit modifier i think. i remember that, it was like 4 months after launch so it was the first nerf i think
175hp…so Sombra can actually kill her.

i wouldnt. i would maybe even rework her ult. (bc its pretty garbage)
but i think her identity in the game is fine and she has clear weaknesses and can be played around with discipline. its not blizzards or widow mains fault that ppl are too stubborn to adapt to widow and refuse to play this game like a shooter.
Serious answer: 8 second cooldown grapple, and her venom mine still has the cloud burst out when shot, lingering for 2 seconds.
Fun answer: Give her a melee cooldown ability like Junker Queen’s axe but she does a sick downward thrusting kick after lifting her leg straight up parallel to her leg still on the ground, and anyone caught in the leg stomp is stunned for 10 entire seconds from the truly earth shattering thunder thigh strike. If they survive the 300 impact damage anyway.
Bonus fun answer: Let her venom mine contest objectives.
