I made a similar thread years ago, but the game has changed significantly since then that I wanted to revisit the question especially with 5v5 now being the Standard.
So let’s say Valve and Blizzard partners up to add the 9 mercs to OW2. With changes made to properly fit them into OW2.
- All classes will have their HP and damage values increased to better fit Overwatch.
All classes will have their damage ( including self damage) and healing values increased by 60%
Light Classes (Scout, Spy, Sniper, Engineer) will have their HP increased from 125 to 200. Medics and Battle Engies go from 150 to 225. Pyro and Demoman go from 175 to 250. Soldier goes from 200 to 300. And heavy goes from 300 to 500 HP.
Engineer’s buildings will have their HP increased by 60%.

Any item/ability which requires a charge to activate such as Banners or ubers will function like ultimates now. With the damage and healing needed to charge them multipled by 2.5.

TF2 mercs will still operate under source physics so that Soldier and Demoman can still blast jump.

All mercs will now have infinite ammo/metal and are immune to fall damage.

All classes will go into the DPS role with Medic and Heavy going into support and Tank respectively.
How would each of the mercs fare? What would their kits look?
