How to fix Sombra (for the devs)

Sombra:


Hack:

  • Ability lockout duration raised to 1.5 sec (same as season 12)

Passive:

  • Opportunitist removed (No one likes this, not even us Sombra players)

Translocator:

  • Can now be placed down in a spot, but the uptime is 10 seconds before going on cooldown for 7 seconds.

  • Sound queue for teleporting to translocator is increased by 15%

Invis:

  • Now an ability again. When activated, active duration is 12 seconds.
  • Cooldown is 10 sec.
  • Speed when in invis reduced by 5% to 10%

EMP:

  • Ultimate cost reduced by 12% (same as season 12)

These changes aim to maintain Sombra’s identity and core in-and-out playstyle, whilst also giving enemy players the chance of punishing her. The changes aim to seperate good Sombra’s from lesser experiences one’s. Cooldown management and strategy will play a more dominant role in this re-work, but also keeps the frustration to a minimal. Hack will remain a tool to keep movement characters in check, but not a tool of domination that makes the enemy feel like they can’t progress the game.

The team will monitor these Sombra changes closely, should Sombra be too oppressive or too weak.

basically your changes are suggesting to revert to how it was before the rework in season 7- and that version of sombra also was complained about… soooo yea her latest rework of sombra76 is probably here to stay unless that also gets complained too much about

That version of Sombra had a lockout duration of 4 seconds. This version has a lockout duration of 1.5 seconds (the same as seaso 12) which will keep her from being the same old perma hack character. It will keep her core-identity while also taking in community feedback.
