after many buffs, it seems Juno is in an okay spot. they should have given her crit or full verticality, but this works too.
however, what are you supposed to do against Sombra? you get deleted instantly and there’s nothing you can do. what is this even? you have to swap Kiri, Bap, brig, or illari if there a Sombra on the enemy team as Juno.

Juno has some capacity to fight back, but, yes, you are at a massive disadvantage and this is arguably one of her worst match-ups in the entire game to deal with because you can’t always preemptively start moving away from danger or confront it with invisibility.
There is a reason Brig + Juno is arguably her strongest set-up because Brig helps to balance out Juno’s big weakness to dive heroes.
One tip immediately is that even if you are about to be hacked, you can get off your speed ring and make use of the speed benefit. Unlike boots which will get you hacked and cancel the speed effect on glide boost.
A tip in general is that you shouldn’t always waste time trying to find Sombra. More focus on trying to generally stay close to other allies, mostly a support (if they are smart to heal over virus) and to stick to enclosed spaces. When in enclosed spaces Sombra can’t stealth around you as well. Keep away from open spaces and more around structures, high ground, and corners.
Especially high ground. Sombra has to either burn translocate revealing her position or take a long amount of time getting around the map the mundane way via stairs and stuff elongating how much time you go between each Sombra encounter.
You want to be able to quickly zip around a structure of some kind either on ring, boosts, jumping, or walking to avoid virus or follow-up damage. A big part of sombra is primarily positioning as well as you can for as long as you can. If she does show up, you want to try to put some pressure on her to hopefully get her to run away faster or die if others join in. The faster she translocates away the better.
Run away
Speed/fly tf out of there. Swap Kiri next time you spawn. I hate this too because oftentimes the other supp already stole Kiri. Brig, meh…

Hug corners/pillars so she can’t get behind you as easily and you can break LoS when she destealths. Use your speed and mobility to put space between you, and ping her for your team to help with.
Other people have mentioned but it’s really tough because… Well she’s invisible. You play with your other support and hope they have good reaction times. Alternatively you stick to corners and run away around the corners to avoid follow up.
Beyond that there’s not a whole lot you really can do.
Gotta stick with your team, I guess! Or keep your back to a wall with a nearby exit path. Ive come to the point of accepting my weakness as a Support against Sombra.
You have the best gun in the game (minus D.Va) to Sombra check/decloak, use it!
Juno can destroy Sombra after she’s used her Translocator to escape. If you spy check her and she gets caught out, most just flounder because you actually have the mobility and abilities to chase her down and she’s already used her escape tool.
Stick near your team and ping her the second she comes out. Use cover to break LOS. And hope your 2nd support is paying attention.
Honestly though if the Sombra is doing enough I’ll just switch to Moira or Kiriko.
Play close to team but fly high keep moving also shoot the sombre whenever you can, u u can kill her as much as she can you.
But keep moving most of these leprechaun stalkers can’t keep up.
You have to play with a Brig who keeps you alive through basically anything and everything
Your survival in the Sombra matchup relies on Brig
Sombra cannot kill through Juno having good movement + inspire + repair packs it’s just not possible
You must be high rank? I’m having no issues with most sombra in plat. The virus is easy to dodge with shift jump.
I listen for the hack sound, The moment i hear it, pop shift or E, wgatever I have, jump, turn, shoot sombra while flying toward teammates and strafing. Pop the next ability when i can.
Just like fighting many dive heroes, i usually save shift for when getting dove. And play close to one of my teammates. Never play completely isolated.
Juno is so good at spy checking and finishing off sombra is easy with torpedos and mobility.
But it maybe more the lack of skill in the plat sombra than juno being okay against her. Juno is one of my picks to swap to when there’s a sombra lol. Who am i kidding Juno is all I’ve been playing lately. The first DLC hero i actually love after Ana.
When facing Sombra, you die. You die and then you go to hell!
Or you can chill out with Brig.

It’s called having a bit of awareness and playing close’ish to your teammates.
Not saying it’s easy or works all the time but it is certainly more successful than trying to fight her.
