Does anybody know how many suspensions (including chat silence) will cause a permanent ban?

Why are you asking? Do you intend to keep doing what gets you banned until you’re perma’d?
If I gave you an exact answer, would you just stop as soon as you’re reaching the permaban?

I’m pretty sure typing diff doesn’t get you banned all by itself, I called diff on my tanks dps like once every 2 weeks in OW1, never got b& for that so I’m pretty sure you must’ve said more…

Depends on the person. The system is largely automated, it seems, so it’s not as much about what you did, but how many times you got reported for doing it. Which can be abused, yes, but also acts as a pretty good way to measure your overall engagement.
I report most people who say diff, ez, or anything else that’s just there to piss people off. No matter which team they’re on mind you. And I routinely get those popups that say my reports have led to actions. It’s really very easy. Think of every match as a game with friends. Every person involved as someone with feelings, just doing their best, intending no harm. Every time you lost it’s ok, you tried your best. No need to blame healers or tanks or dps or whatever, they did their best too. And every time you win, you know how the ones who lost feel. You’ve been there. They don’t need you to add to their frustration by trash talking them further.

They do depending on the severity. Making threats will definitely end up on your record.

In game? Yes. There are different severities, like for example Cheating is literally 1. If they get you, account is done.
What? This literally makes no sense at all. Forum violations have nothing to do with in-game stuff. Or at least they NEVER should.

Depends what it’s for, if its for disconnects you’ll eventaully be banned from comp but that’s it. If for innapropriate chat or throwing you can be banned with no warning at all

Forum violations count against your actual Blizzard account? If you get banned from the forums you get banned from the entire game? That’s absolutely ridiculous if true.
They can literally just… prevent you from using the forums. That’s it.
