Well, they failed badly at nerfing Mercy in any way besides enjoyment.
What with how poorly they seem to understand her problems, at this point, I wouldn’t even be surprised if they end up nerfing GA again and buffing damage boost to compensate.
Sojourn isn’t getting nerfed regardless. She’s not a problem in their stats, clearly their golden girl for whenever PvE drops, and very well may be getting the next Mythic.

This has been prevalent in all of Overwatch. The best way to describe brigitte is that she’s a niche pick. Niche picks will have low pick rates and high win rates. You use them when they are powerful and not anywhere else because they are not good enough to be used in all situations.
Kiriko is a great example of a highly versatile unit that is usable in nearly any team composition to victory. This will lead them to being viable in nearly any situations even if there is a technically stronger pick. However, these units tend to be lower pick rates as they are powerful as a generalist unit. Their versaatility gives them power, but her lack of a super strong identity (other than cleanse) means she can be outperformed by those with more dedicated kits.
Right now, Kiriko does squat to a ball player both against and for him. While Brigitte not only supports balls well with fast long heals, but also screws up enemy ball players exceedingly well.
