How is there still no way to toggle off Life grip?

As a Rein main I feel this 100%. Dont pull me, heal me.

Lifeweaver’s healing sucks. Positioning is strong.

Are you genuinely this slow or like??? what is going on here.

Suzu was brought up, I explained to you why suzu counters it, and now all of a sudden you did a full wrap around to some other random point from before that has nothing to do with what is being talked about?

No it’s the fact it literally REMOVES THE SLOW so people can walk out of the ult faster, so you take less damage.

The entire point of orisa’s ult is that it pulls people in and slows them down while she builds the damage up. Suzu removes said slow so she doesn’t have time to build the damage up.

Even without it, you can still walk out of orisa’s ult without it reaching the kill number. Literally test it yourself.

I remember when lifeweaver first came out. It made one of our tank (doomfist) rage quit when the match started because our weaver pulled him back to spawn as soon as the match started.

In another game, I saw our weaver using geomery to pull our bastion into the pit Lijiang Tower: Garden. It somehow worked despite the game implementing anti-troll mechanic on life grip (you can no longer easily pull allies into the pit now).

What our weaver did was stand of top of the petal platform (behind a wall) to get LoS of our bastion who was coming out of spawn, and then destroy the petal platform as soon as he pulled the bastion. Which lead to the lifeweaver facing a wall and our bastion being pulled into a wall and then falling down to a pit :joy:

Both of these troll instances were in quickplay though, and I haven’t seen trollweaver in a longest time. I mostly only saw people trolling on weaver the first few months when he came out.

The way you described suzu “countering” Orisa’s ult is what you have already said doesn’t need countering.

You literally said everyone can escape Orisa’s ult without mobility before she can kill them. So why are you countering the slow effect on Orisa’s ult with suzu? You use suzu to save a teammate from the damage of Orisa’s ult.

And you can take next to no damage by correctly using suzu to give your teammates invulnerability.

Unironically everything I just read from this reply hurt my brain.

Just because it doesn’t NEED countering… doesn’t mean suzu doesn’t counter it?

Like please. Take a step back, rethink what point you’re trying to make, and try again. Because you’ve gone off the deep end.

Like I have already said, it does need countering if you want your team to actually survive. And the best way to do that is to use it to give your immobile ally invulnerability as Orisa releases her ult.

If any immobile hero can just run out of her ult, why are you wasting suzu on the slow? You think the Orisa isn’t just going to release her ult early to deal SOME damage before your team escapes? In what world is that better than completely countering the damage?

You are having a slight disagreement about an interaction in a video game. It is not that deep. Chill out, homie.

When I learned that as a Rein with a good LW I can go full aggro over the other guys, get them to waste all of their cooldowns AND get away with if for free with grip my life changed

Nothing I said was even crazy gang lmfao

You implied they were mentally challenged half a dozen times???

:muscle: :joy:

Ummm no… actually I didn’t lmfao. I called them slow once because they brought up some random point that had nothing to do with what was being talked about.

:muscle: :joy:

A) not a ‘brother’ and B) I gave you a whole list, man. And it wasn’t even a complete list of what I can accomplish because I left out all the DPS ults I can save people from as well.

You’re just one of those people that’s just impossible to talk to. I could give you a hundred replay codes and you’d still just sit there going on about how he’s useless as I win game after game lol.

I must be getting carried all the time, every day, all day.

He is nothing like Mercy.

No, you don’t because you legitimately said that a Kiriko purposely throwing her suzu at the ceiling so that you die to Ashe’s dynamite isn’t griefing.

See. You’ve got not just ONE, not just TWO, not just THREE, but at least FOUR people here telling you that Weaver is nowhere near as useless and you’d like to complain, and because this disrupts the narrative you’d rather believe and you don’t want to hear it, you’re giving the kindergarten level response of sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting ‘NYAH NYAH I CAN’T HEAR YOUUUU’.

You know if you back up a bit you can see him on top of it right? Weaver’s like 6.5 feet tall.

And it won’t do anything because nothing has happened until she releases the button to do the damage. You cannot reliably suzu Orisa’s ult because you never know when she’s going to let it go. You don’t play healer at all, do you?

No it doesn’t because the slow is a persistent thing that is just reapplied as you try to walk out because suzu’s immortality is so short now that it makes ZERO difference in how quick you can get out of the ult. You don’t stop Orisa from immediately re-slowing everyone with suzu lol.

Wow.

That’s right. Good boy. Now bring me a shrubbery!

Seven, actually. It’s crazy :joy:

I edited to 6.5 because I couldn’t remember and I’m too lazy to look it up lol.

It’s hilarious when he stands next to D.Va. He’s the same height as her mech

No it’s just you winning on a bad hero doesn’t make the hero not bad.

There’s people in t500 otping garbage heroes and that’s been the case for the entirety of overwatch’s existence. That doesn’t make the heroes not bad.

Like ay man if you’re doing great on the hero, that’s good for you. I’m glad you’re climbing. That doesn’t make your hero not awful lol

Cool and I’ve got the majority of the community, high elo players, the devs themselves, and stats that tell me that lifeweaver actually sucks… The fact you know damn well you’re even having to go on this lifeweaver defense crusade in the first place is proof enough that most people think the hero sucks.

A couple of low elo players on the forums telling me he’s actually good is NOT going to sway me gang.

The hero is bottom pickrate or 2nd to last in every rank while having a below 50% winrate in every single rank. Stop it.

No YOU don’t.

If you SUZU INSTANTLY, everyone that got pulled will no longer be slowed for that duration of that suzu. By the time suzu is done they’ll either be completely out of the orisa ult or they’ll be so close to the edge in such little time that the orisa will be forced to let it go early and it won’t do that much damage.

You people genuinely need to get in a custom game and just look at it for yourself LMFAO. I’m telling you an objective statement and you’re just denying it to prove a point. You’re wrong. That’s ok. Go look at it for yourself.

As a Support main, I’d actually like the ability to choose to either full grip or prematurely let go. I know this would seem controversial to those afraid of Trollweavers, but if I accidentally Grip someone, I’d like to let go of them before the Grip has completed.

Probably could make it so that if the Gripped Target is over a kill zone (aka an environmental hazard) it won’t let you cancel it.

Because that’s absurd.

I’ve seen so many LW’s stop bad dps from feeding. I welcome any ability that takes the sting out of having bad dps players on my team.
