How exactly are they gonna make PvE "Highly replayble"?

Allow me to assign attribute points to my heroes a la S.P.E.C.I.A.L. from Fallout and give me the choice to kill important (or unimportant) NPCs or not to affect the storyline.

Give me some kind of stigmatism and choice and branch the story from there.

The only way they could make it highly replayable is to make it customizable a la Halo: Reach Firefight. And, even then, it was still a hard sell on replayability.

It’s highly replayable because it won’t be content they cut out for only a specific month.

We were also shown a much better Anthem than we actually got. Same for the original Watch Dogs and The Division. Hard to just take people for their word anymore.

There is Fallout 76, but I’m just saying there are a multitude of things that OW2 can do to bring depth and life to the campaign. However, Blizzard will probably do none of them because lazy. I hope they surprise me.

you do realise these are the same people who have warcraft dungeon, diablo dungeon, on top games like payday 2, the division, warframe, destiny being released the past decade right?

you will be very surprised on how willing people are to play the same mission over and over again because their is a considerable market for grindy pve games as long as the game play is solid which overwatch offers on top their ability system they’re making, great multiplayer experience, no brainer and a sense of progression is made even if it doesn’t appear to be any

I know. But old school Fallout 1+2 are some of my favorite games of all time and I would love more games to follow their example. I want to make a 3 intelligence Tracer that can barely speak and can barely accept quests from NPCs.

Your lack of imagination is frightening.

You can level your heroes. You get experience per mission and at certain levels you can unlock new talents and get busted OP.

I believe that is the story mode. We haven’t seen what the “Hero” mode is yet, which is what they are boasting as the “highly replayable” mode of their PvE.

i share the same concerns as a pve fan.

a pve mode with so much of a script is bound to become repetitive in one way or the other. this is why i like Warframe as a pve game, because most of the game is just a variety of simple mission types.

i think the pve mode could really benefit having short and simple optional side missions (elimination, defense, capture, rescue) along with story missions.

Look at world of warcraft and Diablo games, yeah, there is good exmaples.
But how do you suppose to role play, if you don’t have customlized character?
