Someone teach me how to get unstuck from gold.
Honestly though, I have been in gold for a long time and occasionally pop up to plat, but that’s about as far as I’ve made it.
The primary thing I blame this on is Widowmaker. I play a ton of Widowmaker and don’t switch and get stuck here, but even then, there’s probably more to it than that. I think that while you can improve your mechanical skills to a certain degree there’s a larger underlying understanding of what exactly it takes to win a game of Overwatch that goes into progressing through higher ranks. Maybe, much like me who has stayed in gold for an eternity, other people also do not pick up on those things.
