How do you counter Hog and a Kiri/Bap support line LOL?

I aim to boop every single Hog hook as Brig or Lucio

LW worse than Bap/Kiri? Please

Orisa as tank, hitscans for dps, ana to pump heals at orisa, and a zen to help melt that hog faster. Discords will also help melt the supports like bap and kiriko faster too. If the enemy dps go sombra or tracer then the zen can switch to bap, kiriko or lifeweaver. The biggest thing when facing annoying team comps is knowing how to stay alive. So bait the hog hooks around corners, don’t just stand in the open waiting to die, play near the team when facing the flankers, everyone needs to be switching off accordingly in order to win. Unfortunately, the thing about overwatch is you have to pray and hope that other people already know the basics or have the common sense to do these things without you having to ask them.

Zen, Mauga, Bastion, Hanzo and or Ana
Cardiac overdrive with boosted healing from nade is brutal and Zen discord Orb melts Hog

That doesn’t matter if he is being pumped with heals and can never die.

Roadhog doesnt need to die, force him on the defensive and you are winning. Roadhog is only dangerous if he is free to play aggressively.

Forcing out enemy resources is winning.

If the supports are double pocketing him, his dps should be ripe pickings.

Also, any tank never dies if they’re getting “pumped with heals” constantly. Again, drawing out enemy resources is the idea. Forcing, say, granny to use nade on hog to save him, that is what we call winning.

Good luck burning hog’s heal. Go for dps and he will just hook you and kill you lol. Hog does more damage than some other tanks so if they’re receiving a double pocket it is meaningless because he has more sustain through his own heal and more dps.

Roadhog’s damage output is kind of garbage. His rate of fire is slow and his reload takes forever, this is why he is so awful in brawls.

The entire point of roadhog is to get picks during the poke phase of any engagement and then win 5v4 when the fight happens. So, avoid getting hooked, run a rush comp, run over hog and his team.

Alternatively, go sigma, hit roadhog with a rock, which will immediately put him on the defensive, and win the poke game.

You have listed three of the heroes who are in the top 10 of the worst winrates. So the chance of winning against them is pretty high just from a statistical point of view, because they are hard to play correctly.

Is that not what people want? High skill characters to be the best? Thats what this would give you, if they would be strong.

But for an actual answer: burst damage heroes. Hanzo, Widow, Soj or some burst damage comp with a Bastion could work. Anas nade and sleep are both good cleanse target, while both cooldowns are on a shorter cooldown, so Ana is still a good option. Zen will also help you melt the hog, no matter what they do. You could also run dive, ignore the hog and kill them or have them occupied.

In the end its not that hard.

Be agressive/dive.

Kiriko and bap have good surviablity abilities. However they do poorly agaist sustained combat.

Once you get suzu/lamp out, dont let up. Capitalize on that lamp has a long CD and Suzu as a decent long CD as well.

Also burst, Bap/Kiriko need to react, so burst damage can alot of times kill before they throw suzu or lamp.

Here we go with the winrate statistics that mean next to nothing

Kiriko and Bap are definitely the worst supports in the game with their horrible winrates. Gg

It just shows that the heroes that are often mentioned are not the problem for 99% of the people, who act like they are OP and need nerfed 24/7. With that you just realize that more often than not, people cant play those heroes and that the crazy carry Kiris/Baps are a small minority and most of them just suck.

I’m actually inclined to agree.

Ana famously has had an absurd pickrate in high elo pc lobbies for pretty much all of Ow2. But her winrate hasn’t been higher than the upper 40s.

Folks havent, and still dont, understand that high pickrates deflate what the winrate ends up looking like.

The best example will always be Cassidy

No matter his actual power level, his winrate always hovers around the mid 40s, but people always just disregard it and acknowledge that it’s wacky and doesn’t make any logical sense because even when he’s a “top 3” DPS his winrate stays that low, and other times like when his health went back to 200 or when they lowered his damage falloff again it still stayed the same lmao

On the other hand winrate suddenly matters on heroes like Kiriko, Bap, Orisa for undisclosed reasons. Sojourn has also had a notoriously weird and low winrate even in masters/gm like I cannot take that website seriously

lmao you’re bronze if hog has no weaknesses. Giant hitbox, terrible range, gets countered by any cc in the game, and is the only tank that has no real tanking ability because he’s countered by at least 3 characters on each role. (zen, ana, life weaver, reaper, orisa, mauga, etc.)

You pick Mauga. Job done.

People just dont know how to use winrates, or use the wrong winrates.

Look at Sym, on the main page, it shows her as the highest winrate hero, but when you look a bit more closely, it actually shows her S9/S10 winrate is ~45-50%

No where near the highest winrate.

People just never use the data/site correctly

Yeah this is probably the answer. I just cannot bring myself to touch the braindead trio of tanks in comp, no matter the circumstance
