How the bottleneck on queue times caused by lack of tank players is getting worse every single day, to the point where they occasionally start to approach OW1 levels (especially in higher ranks) despite literally needing half as many tank players. How they have to keep doing role wide tank buffs that are unambiguously overpowered just to temporarily improve the queue times for a few weeks.
What is your explanation for this other than the counter problem? Are all tank players who are explicitly saying the role isn’t enjoyable anymore because of constant counterswapping and that’s why they’re queuing for it less just lying? And if they are than what is the “real” explanation for why less people are playing tank?

Tanks cs each other i can understand, but most dps dont cs tanks unless tanks cs them or target them…which is every game because tanks dont have the skill to fight someone with the same ir similar op’ness.
I have zero remorse for tanks who try to cs dps.
Its almost as if its easier to counterpick a single player than 2 players.
Counter picking is just part of the Overwatch life. It happens with every role. It’s just tank that is most obvious. Either learn to deal with your poor matchups or embrace the counter picking life.
The problem isn’t tank queue times. The idea was to drastically reduce DPS queue times which is what happened. And DPS queue times are still drastically lower than during the days of 6v6. As long as DPS queue times are much lower than before, then they succeeded with their goal.
I agree with everything you’re saying, but 5v5 wasn’t introduced to help tank players, it was introduced to help DPS players…
But I agree. Counter picking made sense in 6v6. A lot less so in 5v5 especially for the tanks.
