You can talk back, while remaining polite and you will never be banned. It just takes to learn to use some vocabulary that isn’t reportable.
The issue is that a lot of players take things too personally when being told something then they proceed to flame and scrutinize every single move the person who talked first makes, and eventually types every toxic comment possible as revenge.
I have no doubt every single player that states and plays the “they can flame but if I do I get instantly banned” victim card are actually the ones that couldn’t take constructive criticisim or some none insulting comment in the first place.
I’d keep it to yourself. We don’t want to hear it.
You don’t need to call out bad teammates. You can say things like “Rein, I can’t get to you with Tracer and Ball chasing me”, but that’s different than “Why are you on Rein trash tank gg”, which helps nobody.

lets think this way … you can’t say anything to make them play better , if they can they will be playing well in first place .
you cannot control them and make them play better . so think twice before you say anything in team chat .
if you really wanna say something use words that has no profanity . if not you can be a little sarcastic like ( wow what a wonderful team , i’m soo lucky to have a team like this ) that way you not directing to any specific player . whoever not playing well they know you talking about them .
best option is mute text and voice chat and accept the fate of loosing the game .
there’s nothing else you can do about it .
maybe find a solid team and play with them , that way you don’t get urge to say words to your teammates that you’ll probably regret later .

Yea even if someone asks for that in (what someone might take as) a rude sorta way, my response is “yea i got you”. It’s easy to just not be a reason why team spirits go down. People who seem abrasive or rude are usually just competitive and we don’t always need to take it personally.

You do nothing and I mean that with utmost honesty.
Everything you say in this game can be interrupted as offensive, regardless of intent, getring you banned.
You have to sit there and take it because Blizzard ban system goes by volume of infractions and most egregious use of certain words.
So if someone tells others to ban you, the number of reports against you will be valid because it follows this rule set:
“Oh, [this user] got more than 5 reports in less than 5 minutes. It must be true then.”
