I saw how bad the changes were and decided to see how good I’d do. My goal isn’t really balance as much as it is making abilities broken and unique. Hopefully this works out.
HERO UPDATES
TANKS
D.Va
Defense Matrix
- Size increased by 10%
Boosters
- Duration increased from 2 to 4 seconds
- Speed increased by 25%
Micro Missiles
- Replaced with a new railgun ability, which fires a hitscan projectile that does 150 damage. It has a windup of 3 seconds to fire, and the mech’s speed is decreased by two thirds when charging up. Railgun can penetrate enemies but can be blocked by shields. Enemies hit by the railgun have their vision blurred and movement speed slowed by 20 percent.
General
- Ejecting out of the mech now ejects you at 15 meters per second up, and 10 meters per second in the direction you are holding
- Pilot D.Va quick melee damage increased from 30 to 100
- Pilot D.Va can now both wall ride and double jump as well.
Notes: All I really wanted to do was to create a little nod to one of my favorite shooters. I love Titanfall, OK?
Orisa
Protective Barrier
- Health Increased from 600 to 800
Cooldown reduced from 10 to 8 seconds- Barrier size increased by 10 percent
Fusion Driver
- No longer slowed while firing
Fortify
- Duration increased from 4 to 6 seconds

Can now be headshot while using FortifyNO. SHE IS SUPPOSED TO BE AN IMMOVABLE OBJECT. DEAL WITH IT. - While in fortify, Orisa gains an extra 100 temporary armor, but her movement speed is decreased by an additional 20 percent.
Halt
- Cooldown increased from 6 to 12 seconds
- Halt no longer drags enemies to the center. Instead, it tethers a maximum of three surrounding enemies to the radius of 7 meters for 6 seconds, the enemies being the ones closest to the center of the radius. The ability can be triggered the way it was originally. Tethered enemies cannot be booped further than the ability’s radius.
General
- Now wears a Christmas hat
- Health changed from 200 health and 250 armor, to 50 health and 350 armor
Notes: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DOUBLE SHIELD WASN’T THAT BAD, YOU WHINY CHILDREN. STOP NERFING ORISA FOR NO REASON WHEN SHE WASN’T THE CAUSE OF IT. SHE WAS A VICTIM OF SIGMA.
Reinhardt
Barrier Field
- Health increased from 1600 to 2000
Fire Strike
- Damage reduced from 100 to 80
- Now has 2 charges
- Projectile speed increased by 100%
Earthshatter
- Knockdown duration increased from 2.5 to 3 seconds
- Now deals 400 damage in a 1.5m radius around the impact point (where the hammer hits the ground)
- Blocking an enemy Earthshatter now plays the voice line “You shame yourself”
- Blocking an enemy Earthshatter now shows up in the kill feed (using Rein’s shield icon)
Steadfast
- Knockback resistance increased from 30% to 40%
- Armor health increased from 200 to 225 (total health 525 now)
Note: No changes here. I like how biased the original creator was to Rein tho.
Roadhog
Chain Hook
- Impact damage increased from 30 to 80
- Cooldown reduced from 8 to 6
- Roadhog now swings the hook like a lasso before throwing, the animation lasting 2 seconds before being thrown. This actually allows feasible counterplay to this free 80 damage hook - especially to people with naturally lower reaction time than people in GM.
Take a Breather
- Healing reduced from 300 to 250
Whole Hog

Now lifts Roadhog while using it if he is pointed downward(I can do better) - Roadhog now wears a backpack. When using his ult, his backpack’s machinery sprouts helicopter blades and Roadhog becomes the flying pig of destruction and mayhem he deserves to be.
General
- Scrap Cannon pellet damage reduced from 6.6 to 5.0
- Maximum health reduced from 600 to 500
Notes: Very few changes here needed. Hook was gonna be too op. The Whole Hog change was…fine, but I wanted to have more fun with it.
Sigma
Experimental Barrier
- This ability is now disabled. It is experimental after all…
Accretion
- Impact damage increased from 30 to 40
- Explosion damage increased from 40 to 50
- Now susceptible to Reflect/Deflect abilities, such as Defense Matrix
- Sigma now uses his “Yes” voice line after every use
Kinetic Grasp
- Cooldown reduced from 12 to 8 seconds
Now increases Sigma’s movement speed by 100% while active- The end of Kinetic grasp now creates an explosion with a cone of 30 degrees in front of Sigma for 15 meters. Enemies hit by the explosion take no damage, but are instead knocked back for 50 percent of the normal amount + 1 percent for every 10 points of damage absorbed for a maximum of 125 percent. This ability can be blocked by shields.
General
- Sigma is now able to hold Jump while airborne to slow his descent
- Health increased from 300 to 400 (500 total)
Note: Grasp was weird imo so I changed it.
Winston
Jump Pack
- Now deals up to 100 damage to enemies within 4 meters of the launch location
- Travel speed increased by 30%
- When using Jump Pack, Winston can latch to a wall and jump off it a second time. He can hold onto a wall for a total of two seconds before falling. If he reaches this maximum time, he cannot wall jump.
Primal Rage
- Health bonus increased from 500 to 1000
- Knockback effects are now 30% less effective against Winston
General
- Winston deals 100% more damage to deployable objects (Barriers, Turrets, etc.)
Note: I liked these changes, but I always liked the idea of Winston essentially becoming king kong with leaping off buildings. It’d be so fun to use lol.
Wrecking Ball
Grappling Claw
- Max duration is now 3.5s
Roll (Ball Form)
- Jump height increased by 100%
- Full speed impact damage on collisions reduced from 50 to 40
- Can now change directions a lot more quickly and easily
Piledriver
- Minimum damage reduced from 20 to 15
- Maximum damage reduced from 100 to 80
- Cooldown reduced from 10 to 8 seconds
- Can now be used from a slightly lower height
Adaptive Shield
- Shield granted per target reduced from 75 to 50
Duration increased from 9 to 12 seconds- Cooldown reduced from 15 to 12 seconds
- Damage absorbed by the temporary shields is now healed at a rate of 25 percent.
Note: I really wasn’t certain with his base kit, but his shield was hit by a net nerf. Didn’t like that, so I changed things up a little.
Zarya
Particle Cannon
- Alt fire explosions no longer hurt yourself
- Alt fire knockback increased by 150%
- Alt fire can now be charged up. At full charge, the projectile size is double the normal size, does 1.5 times the amount of damage, and bounces up to twice. The projectile speed is 10 percent slower, however.
- Primary fire minimum damage increased from 75 to 85 damage per second
Particle Barrier & Projected Barrier
- Health increased from 200 to 250
- Size increased by 50%
- Allies can roll around in the barriers.
Graviton Surge
- At the end of Graviton Surge, the black hole undergoes an outburst, sending all enemies caught inside flying. Anyone who impacts a wall takes 50 damage.
General
- Enemies with 30 health or lower and are hit by melee are grabbed by Zarya and slammed into the floor. Zarya shows off her muscles afterwards.

Coach Gun
- Now has 2 charges
- Now fires slugs instead, which deal 75 damage each
Dynamite
- Cooldown increased from 12 to 14 seconds
- Explosion damage reduced by two thirds.
- Four more explosions in a square pattern around the original dynamite will go off after 2 seconds of the original explosion. The explosion centers are located 5 meters away from the original explosion.
The Viper (Weapon)
- Hip fire recovery reduced from 0.25 to 0.22 seconds
- Aim-down-sight movement penalty reduced from 30% to 10%
B.O.B.
- Is now immune to sleep. He’s a freaking robot sidekick. He’s not sleeping on the job anytime soon.
- Has steadfast now
- Throws out some dynamite where he was standing before leaving
General
- Dynamite emote can now hit enemies. Enemies hit by it are instantly killed.

Cassidy
Fan the Hammer
- Damage reduced from 50 to 45
Combat Roll
- Now usable while airborne
Flashbang
- Cooldown increased from 10 to 12 seconds
- Stun removed, and instead briefly blinds the enemies’ screens and reduces their move speed for 5 seconds. Over this time, their vision and speed will gradually return to normal.
Deadeye
- Now spawns more tumbleweeds. Mind the thorns.
Note: Make flashbang + FTH have a little counterplay plz and ty. Like at least let me shoot even if I can’t see. I’d much rather have that then stare at death itself.
Bastion
Configuration: Recon
- Bullet spread reduced by 15%
Configuration: Tank
- Changed to Configuation: Helicopter. Literally just Configuration: Tank but flying.
- Now grants 100 bonus armor.
General
- There is now a marker when you don’t have play of the game. You’ve gotta change that. Bring out the turret.
Note: Haha bastion go whee whoo.
Doomfist
The Best Defense… (Passive)
- Shields gained through normal abilities increased from 30 to 40
Meteor Strike
- Landing time after confirmation reduced from 1 to 0.5 seconds
Uppercut
- Recovery time reverted
General
- Health reduced from 250 to 225
- Now melees with his gauntlet hand. Can deal wall damage if you somehow melee somebody whose back is pressing against the wall.
Notes: The only buff doom truly needs is logic. So I gave him logic. Oh and recovery time reverted
Echo
Focusing Beam
- Beam size increased by 50 percent.
- Beam damage no longer scales off of enemy hp, and instead is a flat 80 dps
- Now does a kamehameha animation.
Duplicate
- Now creates a duplicate ai of echo to fight with her team. This lasts indefinitely.
Note: They left Echo out.
Genji
Cyber-Agility
- Wall Climbing speed increased by 50%
- Wall Climbing now refunds Double Jump’s availability
- Can now climb over enemies, dealing 5 damage every time his foot hits the enemy’s head.
Shuriken (Weapon)
- Recovery reduced from 0.68 to 0.6 seconds
Dragonblade
- Now uses two swords.
General
- With every kill, Genji’s rear increases in size up to 6 times

Hanzo
Storm Arrows
- Now ricochet off surfaces up to 5 times
- Can no longer headshot
- Simply Geometry voice line is used when Hanzo scores a kill with a ricochet
Dragonstrike
- Googly eyes added back to dragons
- Lightning strikes wherever the dragons go, dealing damage to any enemy hit by it
Lunge
- Cooldown reduced from 5 to 3 seconds
Note: You mean to tell me dragonstrike isn’t the same as lightning strike? Nonsense!
Junkrat
Total Mayhem
- Grenade count increased by 100% and grenades drop in a 30% wider area
Frag Launcher (Weapon)
- Impact damage reduced from 40 to 30
- Minimum explosion damage reduced from 10 to 8
- Projectile speed increased by 25 percent
Concussion Mine
- Maximum damage increased from 120 to 125
- Minimum damage reduced from 30 to 25
Rip Tire
- Can run over enemies for 50 damage
Note: Tire needed improvements clearly.
Mei
Primary Fire
- Ammo increased to 150
Wall/Cryo
- Enemies touching the wall/cryo for 2 seconds or more are frozen
- A cloud forms around the wall or Mei in a 7 meter radius around the object. This cloud slows down enemies inside its radius.
Alt Fire
- Can now propel ragdolls and stick them into walls if there is enough force.
Blizzard
- Now causes the entire map to snow (A visual change. The ultimate still only freezes in its set radius).
Pharah
Hover Jets
- Holding Crouch while airborne increases falling speed
Concussive Blast
- Cooldown reduced from 9 to 8 seconds
Jump Jet
- Cooldown reduced from 10 to 9 seconds
Barrage
- Now shoots rockets in a 90 degree cone in front of her.
- Rocket direct damage reduced to 30 from 40.
- Splash damage reduced from 9-30 to 7-20.
- Can move at 4 meters per second in any direction.
Reaper
Shadow Step
- Movement Speed increased by 40% for 6 seconds after ending.
Hellfire Shotguns (Weapon)
- Pellet spread reduced by 15%
Alt Fire
- Now fires a smoke bomb which obscures enemy’s vision. Lasts 10 seconds on the field. The radius is 7 meters. Only Reaper can see inside the smoke, but he cannot see enemies behind the smoke. The enemy has to be inside for Reaper to see them.
Soldier: 76
Sprint
- Automatically reloads Heavy Pulse Rifle after 3 seconds of continuous use.
- Pressing crouch will initiate a slide.
Tactical Visor
- Now increases Heavy Pulse Rifle damage by 10% while active
- Helix rockets now hone into targets.
- Radius of rockets are tripled during visor
- Rocket damage is reduced by 10% while active
Sombra
Hack
- Affected targets now take 20% increased damage from all sources for 3 seconds
- Cooldown increased from 8 to 12 seconds
- Hacked targets have random sky code and skull symbols littered over their screen.
Machine Pistol
- Bullet spread reduced by 10%
EMP
- Everyone takes 20% increased damage. Now the random teams have an excuse to freaking push.
Note: Sombra isn’t annoying enough. Hopefully this fixes it.
Symmetra
- Reverted to 2.0
Note: 2.0 was fine. Change it back.
Torbjörn
Rivet Gun (Weapon)
- Recovery time reduced from 0.6 to 0.45 seconds
Forge Hammer (Alternate Weapon)
- Damage increased from 55 to 75
- Enemies killed by hammer explode into molten lava, covering the surrounding 5 meter area around them.
Overload
- Now increases Forge Hammer damage to 125 while active
- Hammer does 50 percent knockback on enemies
Turret
- Damage reduced from 14 to 11
Tracer
Blink
- Now can blink through walls, but if you wind up inside a wall, it instantly kills you.
Recall
- Always recalls back to spawn
Pulse Bomb
- Now automatically attaches itself to Tracer instead of throwing it. Tracer has to run into the enemy team to get value out of it.
Pulse Pistols
- Each bullet has a 10 percent chance of shorting out the guns, causing them to immediately become unfirable for 10 seconds
Note: Screw Tracer and her mains. Now she’s finally fair and balanced exactly where she belongs.
Widowmaker
Widow’s Kiss (Weapon)
- Automatic fire minimum damage after falloff increased from 3.9 to 5
- Automatic fire maximum damage increased from 13 to 15
- Scoped shot, when fully charged, can fire a shot that bounces off walls. Ricochet hits deal cannot headshot.
Infra-Sight
- Now resets Grappling Hook’s cooldown
- Widow’s infrasight model bug re-added to the game.

SUPPORT
Ana
Sleep Dart
Eliminating sleeping targets resets the cooldown- Hit targets will snore.
Nano Boost
- Now applied to Ana when used without a target
Biotic Grenade
- Changed from completely stopping healing to only blocking 50 percent of healing.
Note: Screw Anti. Seriously.
Baptiste
Biotic Launcher

Healing Grenades now affect Baptiste as well. - Healing from all sources reduced by 10.
Regenerative Burst

Now damages enemies instead of healing allies. - Healing per second reduced to 7.
- All allies affected now gain a 25 percent damage resistance.
Exo-Boots
- Now deals 40 damage to enemies within when landing on their heads.
Immortality field
- No longer can take damage.
- Health increased from 150 to 400
- Changed so that all allies inside have all damage blocked under a certain threshold. Once that threshold is hit, all damage taken is instead taken by the Immortality field.
Note: Bap, under no circumstances should have more HPS than Moira.
Brigitte
Inspire
- Now charges her living teammates’ ults for each hit by 0.5 percent.
- Healing reduced to 5 hps.
Repair Pack
- Charges decreased from 3 to 1
- Changed so it either heals up to 50 hp. If there is less than 50 percent missing hp on the target, for every two points healing over the max hp, convert one hp to armor.
Flail
- Changed to a pump shotgun. Deals 300 damage maximum when all pellets connect. 15 pellets in total. Cannot headshot.
General
- Changed to 150 HP and 100 armor
- Shield HP changed to 300 HP
Note: Brig changes were boring as hell. Decided to spice things up.
Lucio
Speed Boost
- Now scales off the amount of teammates inside Lucio’s radius. 0-1 teammates get a 45% speed boost, 2-3 teammates get a 35% percent speed boost, 4-6 teammates get a 25% speed boost.
Sound Barrier
- Cost reduced by 30%
- Now deals massive damage to enemies Lucio lands directly on top of them.
Sonic Amplifier (Weapon)
- Fire rate increased by 15% while Wall Riding. After 1 second of Wall Riding, this bonus is reduced by 50%
General
- Landing on enemies’ heads allows Lucio to bounce on them. Furthermore, the enemy takes 20 points of damage.
Note: Lucio? More like Mario.
Mercy
Valkyrie
- Killing Blows extend the duration by 3 seconds
- Gun changed to hitscan during valk.
- Beam no longer chains between allies.
- Now has an AOE healing that triggers for every hit with her pistol. The radius of the aoe is 20 meters. It heals 55 hps like her staff. Healing lingers for 2 seconds.
Caduceus Staff
Healing now reduces from 55 HPS to 40 HPS over 2 seconds while connectedHealing returns to its normal HPS over 2 seconds while not active- Ult charge received from healing starts at 125%, but the longer you stay with that teammate, the ult charge reduces over time. After 8 seconds of healing the same person, ult charge reduces to a minimum of 75%.
Resurrect
- Can now be canceled by using Secondary Fire while channeling, refunding 50% of its cooldown
- Creates a 5 meter radius pillar of fire when the teammate is resurrected, dealing 100 damage and inflicting burn to any enemies inside it.
Note: Making her into the warrior maiden a valkyrie is supposed to be.
Moira
Biotic Grasp
- Biotic Grasp’s healing now consumes Moira’s own health if used while out of energy
- Lingering healing reverted to its best state cuz I don’t feel like looking up the original numbers.
Fade
- Now Cleanses status effects from players Moira passes through and allied players that are around her when it ends
Biotic Orb
- Allies that receive at least 100 healing from the same Biotic Orb are cleansed of all status effects
- Enemies that suffer at least 100 damage from the same Biotic Orb are slowed by 30% for 1.5 seconds
Coalescence
- Moira can fly during this ult.
- Move speed reduced to 7 m/s.
Note: Tbh these aren’t the worst changes ever but still could be better.
Zenyatta
Discord Orb
- Damage amplification reduced from 25% to 20%
- Can now be applied to Barriers, Turrets, and other attackable objects
- No longer reveals the position of its target through line of sight
- Line of sight return time reduced from 3 seconds to 1.5 seconds
Harmony Orb
- Line of sight return time reduced from 3 seconds to 1.5 seconds
- Reveals the location of discorded enemies to the teammate who is affected by Harmony.
Transcendence
- Total healing reduced from 1800 to 1200
- Now applies Discord Orb to nearby enemies
- Now electrifies the area around him. Half of the healing radius does 10 damage per second to any enemies inside it.
Note: Haha embrace nothingness.
Remember, most of these aren’t really meant to be balanced. Just giving a lot of the heroes that were neglected due to the content creators’ clear biases some actual love.
