Houston continuing to look solid
Speaking of bad days…earlier today, the Fusion finished Hanamura in 1 minute and 40 seconds (Time bank remaining: 5:20). Is that an OWL record?
Also a symmetra heavy match…I believe we’ve had one each round so far
Nope, not even top 5
I hope the better team wins the video game
Damn we almost had a zero distance cart
The Danteh to KSF swap is so far not working out for the Outlaws. Tie game heading into the second half.
AFTER MAP 2
Nepal (Control): Houston Outlaws 2, Paris Eternal 0
Havana (Escort): Paris Eternal 5, Houston Outlaws 4
MATCH SCORE: Paris Eternal 1, Houston Outlaws 1
NEXT UP: The second half of Outlaws vs. Eternal.
i have this match at a 3-2 for houston so heres to hoping it goes all the way
Huh, Houston sym/mei is paying dividends so far. Interesting.
Happy is really making attack Symmetra work and isn’t switching after Ult I… it brings a tear to my eye. Houston is so good.
Paris wasn’t ready for attack sym
It also really synergize well with Mei, that’s the really surprising thing.
Lots of symmetra… very interesting.
I see a few reasons for this
- Mei counterpick, also does well into D.va/rein which paris was playing often
- Strong for first point picks and getting highground (which they were doing a lot on kings row)
- Paris is a weak team. There’s not much to risk when you’re against one of the worse teams in OWL
I wonder if any other teams will start picking her outside of Lijang and Hanamura more now that Outlaws have been having success
they’re talking about why they play her right now…
sounds like its as a rush comp counter. Which makes a lot of sense actually
The Outlaws survive and thrive, ladies and gentlemen!
And with this victory, it is almost certain that the Outlaws will be going to the May Melee. A win over the London Spitfire, who was 3-0’d yesterday, would seal the deal.
I member when the Outlaws were called the Houston Outluls.
They’re almost an all new team now.
Was a good game. A lot of crazy sym stuff. I just hope Mei doesn’t become a must pick again.
