I’m just trying to understand what you mean. Because the majority of the 3090’s being sold are OEM cards (MSI, Gigabyte, ASUS, etc). They all have cards at MSRP as well.

Gotcha. Yeah if you go to newegg or something theres a whole bunch. The list includes all the “OC” variants that are often a couple hundred dollars more, but I believe at least each OEM has a model at MSRP.

I was looking at the Lenovo Y27gq-25 but did not pull the trigger mainly because i already have a Acer X34P and even with a 120hz monitor, i still suck at the game. So 240hz ain’t gonna bring me from Bronze to Gold in a few hours. Heh.
Anyway, moot point, it seems that the Lenovo Y27gq-25 is no longer on sale in my country.
The G7 Odyssey looks to be a a great monitor especially given that it is a VA panel compared to, say, the Lenovo Y27gq-25 which is TN. I think that you will thoroughly enjoy your new monitor and deservedly so, i believe!

Haha, yeah I fortunately have the money so I’m just going with the best I can. I’ve been wanting a new PC for a while but I felt like Intel kept dropping the ball on their CPUs (not that they were bad, but year over year gains from previous gen was mediocre at best). But 16 cores with better single core perf than Intel’s best… i decided to make the call.

Oh, I know I do. Itll be nice to have an A button that isn’t loose, a D-Pad that isn’t loose, and an X button that isn’t impossible to press down…
And custom designs are always nice in controllers, compared to a plain gray.

I am sure this is a very good card for the money - I gamed for about 3 years on a 1060 for OW no problem.

Yeah, I have also really dialed back my forum presence over the years. Still, I think a little positivity goes a long way in people’s lives. I think it is important for our community to have posts like these.
I was looking at the same exact monitor, but it’s basically impossible to come by in the states and has been since its release. I hear the fan had some issues too.
I feel that. I mean, I’m not a parent, but between working a full time job and juggling my relationship and my personal fitness, I have little time to game. But whenever I do come by some free time, you can find me on Overwatch!

With the pandemic I’m spending sooooo much time gaming I felt justified buying a new top of the line gpu for myself this year. Any other year I’d have gone the 3060/3070 route, started looking at the 3080 and figured if I was going to spend $700 for a card with 10gbs vram I may as well just put that money towards a 3090 with 24gbs vram and future proof a little. So camped out the best buy website for about 2 weeks and finally managed to snag a 3090FE. Received and installed Monday, just in time for cyberpunk.
Random info, there’s alot of discussion about how much vram you need. Nvidia gives the new CoD game with the 3090, I loaded it up, downloaded the HD texture pack, everything maxed at 4k, set vram allocation to 80% in game and presto, 19-20 gbs of vram used. Haven’t seen any other game come close, but worth noting.
Also, Corsairs 12 pin gpu cable is out and available. Much better than the garbage adapter that comes with the card.
