I combo Ana all the time though.
It’s fun to bully hogs as tracer
Inexperienced Reapers may get comboed easier than an experienced Reaper.
Wouldn’t you agree?
What? Doesn’t seem like you understand. I said there is never just one position you can take. On ladder there might be a “right” position if everyone is on the same page, which is never the case. In which case you have to do your best to see what positioning is best.
Do I stand with the other tank and spam damage for another min? Or do I try to take that off angle and pick that Ana that is within range of a flank Hook? Do I follow the braindead Rein walking in a straight line directly at a Bastion+ Hanzo or do I try to play this corner? Ext ext.
That is the reality of ladder. Also I didn’t try to justify anything.
I agreed that a lot of people play Hog poorly. However that applies to all tanks. People play WB wrong. People play Rein wrong. People play Orisa wrong. People play Winston wrong.
So once again. Regardless of how poorly people may play Hog, that doesn’t change that he is a great tank. Especially for ladder environment.
Yeah but he’s also been the most popular tank in GM (you know, where the best players reside) for the past three months, so he can’t be that noob-friendly.
That sums it up pretty good
This is one of the dumbest things i’ve seen posted.
I agree with that reasoning for playing him. I played him a lot because I can do my own thing, be safe, not worry about the team needing to support me, and feel like whenever I pick off a player I’m making a play.
One thing I would look to do is compare eliminations, solo kills etc. with the other tanks, he’s in the lead in solo kills or final blows but not so much on E/D and general eliminations. So, my suggestion would be looking to reduce the rate at which he can get singles picks but still remain competitive, even in a slight lead, in that department relative to other tanks.
Something to note is that I have been extremely enjoying the flexibility of being able to pair almost any tank combination and making it work in these passed two months or so. The metas have been shifting very quickly almost naturally. I really do not want to lose it or focus compositions in a way that he needs to match up in a pair with a specific hero, or become unable to be a viable option against other tank set ups all the time. And we have been seeing some resurgence of double shielding.
Because of that, I would avoid reducing over all damage output that would lower his ability to take on other tanks or destroy shields. Instead I would look to adjusting spread and/or slowing down his initial hook speed that allows him to displace heroes suddenly. For instance, his current hook speed is 40m/s, we could reduce it down to like 30m/s, which is the same speed as Ana’s grenade. I do find it relative easy to get a 60% or greater accuracy on hook, so this could make it challenging for people to hit those vital hooks on more mobile characters, and allows enemy teams to react.
Anyways this is getting long but that’s one thing I’d suggest, though might not do any good.
A short sighted person would think this.
hog also feeds pretty hard and has many counters
