Highest level player banned for cheating lol

Maybe referring to the discord overlay? Is my guess. I kinda doubt it though.

I’m curious how much streaming time would be required to reach that 11K+ account level, especially when (according to the video) the next highest account is like 8453. When something seems too good to be true it often is.

I do agree that the Overwatch system from CS:GO would be a great addition here, but I also feel like Blizzard ahem ActivisionBlizzard is always looking to slash support costs whenever possible, not add costs. Unless it’s baked into the budget for OW2 we should not expect anything IMO.

But that’s great and all but it is realistic, in a business sense?

I mean, Blizzard is a company so it wants things to be done quickly and cheaply. This sounds neither quick nor cheap.

wouldnt it be crazy if he was banned for experience hacking!?! lmao i mean who would want to do that

this person i guess, 11000 is kinda high, but what do i know i have 2000 hours since release he would have to have 12000 hours or more??!?

thats alot

Valve does it. The point of step 2 is to significantly reduce the number of cases/false positives for them to review.

They better not ban people for using discord, THEY USE DISCORD THEMSELVES.

People always assume streamers don’t cheat because stream …
but there are so many ways to hide it

Pretty sure it is not discord (for now) I always have it open.

Discord adds an overlay to the game. It’s supposed to be OK, but you never know. There are other programs that adds overlays that Blizzard had said was not OK (even when the community did not agree).

I personally have used Discord with no issues yet.

So many people are so quick to jump to the guys defence.
I wonder how many are just because hes a streamer (I find watching people play video games a very odd concept) and how many are because the automated system is trash?

Hm, fair enough.

Well, have fun trying to convince Blizzard to literally do anything. Let alone do something different.

Yeah when I start to play game, I have that little tab from discord there for a few seconds. They better not ban people for this.

I for one will not vouch for anyone when it comes to online games and cheating because I can only be 100% sure about one person not cheating.

But given the precedent of false positives lately, I think they should review his case. Actually review it. As there is something seriously broken in their system currently.

His level or streamer title don’t really add credibility for me.

the thing is if this garners alot of attention somehow or if goes to a ā€œvideo gameā€ outlet it will be reviewed ā€œagainā€ more thoroughly and may be overturned

and they find out he wasnt doing anything wrong and unban then that also will piss me off a bit since the only reason it will get looked at because of the attention so average joe schmoe who was also wrongfully banned will be stuck with the short stick

I think his publicity will add more pressure to BLizzard admitting something is wrong or press them to at least fix it.

Everyone always jumps to claim Discord is a plausible cause as if it’s some obscure program not being used by thousands of other OW players…it makes no sense.

WhOmegalul?

Just cause players might be ā€˜ā€˜highest’’ level, doesnt mean that they cant cheat at all.

Also, where’s the proof of this ā€˜ā€˜highest level’’ player gameplay in the 1st place. Cause I cant see it nowhere. Hence the ban stands before proven wrong.

By highest level we mean he has the most play time. His actual skill is pretty average. I’m not allowed to name drop so just watch the video and you can find his gameplay pretty easily.

You didnt seem to understand what I mean…

I’ll say it again, just cause someone has highest level doesnt mean that they cant cheat. I’ve witnessed through streams, etc who are even silver border/higher to be cheating in this game.

And no, im not gonna give more views for clickbait youtubers. Regardless if they we’re clickbaiting or not.

This is why I’m terrified to play on my main account. Someone with over 1000 hours in the game should have any permanent action reviewed by at least 2 employees (and not entry level CS reps). Someone with 10,000+ hours should have Jeff and another dev personally look into it. And it better have indisputable evidence or be overturned.
