In both tests, the ping to your ISP network is very high.

Thank you for answering. What can I do in this case then?
Also is that not my ip address ? I thought it is my router’s fault.

Hey there,

Due to the global impact of recent world events on network bandwidth, there’s tons of things impacting everyone’s latency to all games. The greater the distance between the client and the servers, the greater the impact.

For now I might recommend playing on more local game servers instead of ones over seas. This might improve both queue times and latency since you’d then be matched with local players. Remember, latency is a factor in the queue system!

Of course, if that is unwanted and you’d like to continue troubleshooting the connection to the Americas servers, please provide a winMTR test. Run the test for 1 full game while the high latency is happening, then upload the results to pastebin. Provide us the link here. Example: pastebin*com/abc123

This will help us compare the upstream data (form you to the servers) and the downstream data (the looking glass, from our servers to your computer)

I don’t know why when I got overwatch and login battle net for the first time bnet recommand me to get on america server.

wa7cher,

Interesting, your winMTR looks okay. How high is the latency you’re seeing in game? The looking glass may actually explain the problem, but we’d probably need more reports to try to find a common cause. Basically, it looks like your latency may increase a lot after leaving Equinix and going to Telekommalaysia. However to be sure, we need to know what latency numbers you’re getting, and how often the problem is happening. If they’re over 300 MS, this may actually be something different.

The Americas servers are the correct ones for players in Malaysia. Sorry for the confusion.

60MS when normal. Spike to 250MS and people start teleporting. Happen sometime, depend on the day, for example today feel kinda fine with 1 or 2 spike in a game. Then sometime it is unplayable and dc me from qp and/or comp.
Edited: actually now I cannot even control my hero well.

In your tests the ping is normal until it reaches your ISP, where it gains over a 200ms delay. You would need to consult them about this increase, but they may be limited on options for resolving due to COVID-19.

Alright I see.
Thank you green word and blue word guys so much for helping. Stay safe.
