Simple, and was reported on beta too, but not resolved:
Keybinding set to hide interface in game will be triggered while writing in game chat.

I can report this also happens to me. When I type a “.” at an end of a sentence, the interface is hidden (as it is tied to hide interface).
At first I couldn’t figure out what was happening. I’d try to bang something out to communicate with my team, suddenly my interface is gone.
I’m getting better at working around it, but it is impacting my games and making games less fun.
As an aside, it’s ALWAYS been annoying that chat is hidden and input stops on screen transitions at the end of games. It’s even worse in Overwatch “2”

Yeah, turned out much more keybinds have this issue and can be triggered through chat. So annoying.
