Hero Concept: Flying Flamethrower Tank "Firefly"

Primary Fire: Short Range Flamethrower Spray. 70 damage per second with direct spray on enemy.

  • 150 ammo, 25 ammo drain per second of continuous fire.
  • Reload takes 1.5 seconds
  • Primary Fire is blocked by shields.
  • Spray reaches up to 7 meters away

First Ability/E ability: Fireball. Lobs a ball of fire from flamethrower that deals 100 damage on impact to all enemies within a 5 meter radius and applies DoT effect to impacted enemies.

  • 8 second cooldown

  • Damage over Time Effect: getting hit by Primary fire or Fireball applies DoT effect to enemies, in which enemies will take 30 extra burning damage over a 3 second period after initial damage dealt is ended. Canceled by Zarya bubbles, Wraith Form, Fade, etc.

  • Fire color from Flamethrower, Fireball, and Burning Damage is blue for allies and red for enemies.

2nd Ability/Alternate Fire: Jetpack. SImilar to Pharah’s jetpack. Refuels over time when not in use. Refuels at a slower rate than Pharah’s, but has a larger amount of fuel.

3rd Ability/Shift ability: Jet Thrusters. For 3 seconds, boosts forward in any direction using Jetpack. Useful in escape or dive runs.

  • 6 second cooldown
  • Uses 30% of maximum Fuel capacity over the course of this ability. Ability is ended early if out of fuel.
  • Can be canceled early by activating ability again
  • Primary Fire and Fireball ability can be used during this ability.

Ultimate: Inferno. For 8 seconds, has unlimited fuel on Jetpack and no cooldown on Thrusters. Flamethrower spray distance increased twofold to 14 meters, and can go through shields.

  • If hacked by Sombra, cannot use Jetpack or Thrusters during ultimate.
  • Ultimate is symbolized by Firefly appearing to be on fire himself during his Ultimate, blue for allies, Red for enemies.

Lore: Younger brother of Antonio Bartalotti, Giovanni was recruited into Talon through Antonio before his assassination at the hands of Gabriel Reyes. Giovanni afterwards devoted himself fully to Talon to honor his brother, and acts as an operative on missions where stealth is not a concern.

I’d love to hear some feedback on this concept, as i put some time into thinking it up.

great idea, very well thought out! a while ago i was thinking if maybe they should make the queen of junkertown a character and maybe give her a flamethrower or something, I love it :slight_smile:

Hate to break it to you man but a flying guy with a flamethrower named firefly already exists as a batman villain. Not that it isn’t a good concept though.

I’m ashamed to say I forgot about him! And I call myself a Batman fan. For Shame!

Oh well, it’s just a concept anyway. Details can be changed at any moment, so for now I’ll just leave it as is.

You could always change his name to Ignis. That’s Latin for fire, and Latin, while a dead language (mostly), used to be spoken in Rome, which is in Italy.
