Will the new hero hit experimental first or will they need to do ptr again?

100% PTR. If they were on Experimental it would crash the game.

Probably PTR since it’s not just a number they can tweak in the game. Jeff mentioned that Mei’s cracking ice wall couldn’t go on experimental right away because of that.

they can only really do number changes to experimental. Big reworks that change completely how an ability works or adding a new hero has to go on the ptr.

PTR for sure because it involves adding new assets and mechanics into the game. Maybe they’ll push from PTR to Live faster than usual now that Experimental is available, though.

They said when announcing the Experimental Card they would still put things like “new heroes and New Maps On the PTR for initial testing” so no matter what everything new content wise is going ptr to not get proper testing :slight_smile:
