But I thought the first hint said they destroyed all the omnics that were in the area, and I doubt they would do the whole “you thought I was dead, but I’m actually alive!” ploy again.

I’ve love to have an evil omnic. All the omnic heroes we have are the Peaceful/Kind type.

But sadly, everything points to Brigitte. If only we could have a double release.

I agree that it is possible an omnic but probably not that particular one unless it becomes a friend with rein or something. There has to be something more than just accident to be connected to rein.

Sombra’s conspiracy map is going to give us many answers in the future

The Omega Omnic could also be that “exoskeleton” in the background of the Doomfist/Moira/Talon picture. It was purposely altered before release for no apparent reason. Sombra map shows the face, that pic shows the body.

Also I think the game could use an “evil” robot. Orisa, Zenyatta, and Bastion are good guys. I want an Omnic like Ultron who thinks he’s superior to humanity.

Definitely, out of 26 heroes we’ve only got 3 Omnics. Considering the heavy emphasis of the Overwatch universe on these sentient machines it’s pretty weird that they constitute less than 10% of the roster. If hero 27 doesn’t turn out to be an evil Omnic it needs to happen sooner or later.

We’re missing the offense Omnic.

After some more thought, I just don’t see it being any other option.

  1. Out of the 5 new characters, 4 have been female.
  2. I don’t see Brigitte being an actual hero. As a defense she would be too much like her father, and as a tank she would probably be too much like Reinhardt.
  3. An Omnic hero gives Blizzard more room to be creative with the abilities. Brigitte would almost have to be a blend of Torby and Rein.
  4. We have ZERO “evil” Omnics in the hero roster. All the other Omnics are good guys.
  5. We could use some more “bad guy” characters overall. The only bad guys we have are Widow, Reaper, Doomfist, and Moira. Sombra sort of has her own agenda.

I find this unlikely because the map failed to predict Moira, and because Jeff already said hero 27 was already known. So yeah.

I think the thing that makes this more likely is that Omnic being connected to Reinhardt , Torby, and Brigitte via that map. We KNOW that the next hero has something to do with Torby and Reinhardt. That Omnic CLEARLY has something to do with Torby and Reinhardt.

Just looked up some info into the Omega symbol it is the 24th and last letter of the greek alphabet “GREEK” now let’s go back to the Ares Theory back in December Ares is a God in Greek mythology so maybe he’s a God program.

Now here’s some more stuff about Ares in Greek Mythology
The Greeks were ambivalent toward Ares: although he embodied the physical valor necessary for success in war, he was a dangerous force, “overwhelming, insatiable in battle, destructive, and man-slaughtering.”

Sounds alot like he’d be a Talon Tank of some sort.
So he could be like the General or The Leader who caused the First Omnic Crisis it’d be pretty sweet this sounds about right to me.
He also sounds like the type of person to say cut off Torb’s arm or rip it off with his bare hands.

I was expecting hammond to be hero 27 ,I wanted a new genetically modified animal but I guess an evil tank omnic is fine :wink: .

This omnic could be a God programme that Talon needs to start a new omic crises .

I really don’t understand point 2. I have seen a lot of people sharing this opinion and it doesn’t make sense in my mind. Brigitte is almost like Rein sidekeeper, she helps repair his armor. REPAIR. If Brigitte was release she would most likely be a support character that probably repairs and gives armor.

On the Omnic topic, although it may be far fetched, I was hoping for a massive titan Omnic. Could be a pain to balance but not impossible.

I don’t know who to expect for Hero #27 although my bets are on Emre Sarioglu.
