Its not the style its just that valorant is a competitive game and the esports scene, twitch, and comp community will not whant to play anymore and will instead play valorant
Iâm not even sure what you read/interpreted, but Iâll endorse it.
I think that this more shows how flawed this game genre is as a concept more than anything else. If you look into it, most of Overwatchâs biggest issues actually go back to the very core of several design aspects.
Iâm not inclined to disagree.
Like I pointed out, it pretty much took TF2âs crown, and hasnât been really rivaled ever since, nothing has really come close to say, âWeâre taking this from you.â
Anything that seems like it would, just hasnât really been in the exact same field as Overwatch (Apex and possibly Valorant). Anything that actually has (not a whole lot), usually squashed by some missing elements that Overwatch has better and/or poor marketing.
Like if I was playing say⌠DOTA2 and Starcraft 2 was coming out and went, âStarcraft 2 is going to kill DOTA2 because itâs hero characters are way better and designed and balanced than DOTA2.â Like even in a scenario that it might be technically true, and the games sharing some similarities, itâs just not the same thing.
TF2 is still a better game (in 6v6 mode with comp rules), main thing that holds it back is trashcan Half-life engine that was built for several generations older PCs. Competitively focused TF2 remake on good engine with unlockable cruft removed would challenge OW.
Bleeding Edge is not even a shooter. Compare it to Smite or something. If you canât aim guns, the game does not qualify as a shooter.
Yeah, but itâs fallen from competitive (between Blizz and Valve) relevance because nothing is done with it. Thatâs why itâs not really any real competition. I bet if Valve said, âYou know what⌠Letâs reboot this,â then yeah, it would gain fast.
ows competition isnât the genre, it is the other games that can promise more than our devs did
played bleeding edge yesterday , deleted it after 15 mins, its clunky, it doesnt compete with overwatch one bit, apart from having the same long queue times.
Your ad was nice but falls short, because that game is not good
You didnât even bother to read his post, I can tell lol
All I said regarding the game positively was the style⌠Because I didnât intend on actually going in depth to promote/review a game. If anything, I had stressed the game has fallen short quite a bit, and that I found that alarming.
Nice attempt at showing your prowess of interpretation. Cool story on how edgy you are at uninstalling (I guess). The like is for how bad you came off.
Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to after 20 posts!
Where the conversation doesnât matter and all that does is the title and last couple posts! Iâm your host, Kulstor Ebrou, letâs read what people have to say.
Um, what?
Have you ever played Paladins?
The game engines alone canât compete, the gummy quality of how things move, the lack of sharpness in the movements and animations are just off the charts different in terms of feel. Overwatch is made on a significantly better game engine / coded with far more accurate movements and feelings, and I say that as someone who is currently mad as hell at OW.
Itâs significantly better made than Paladins, itâs⌠No contest.
i know of bleeding edge existence because youtube recomended me and i was like oh what is this? if it didnt, then i wouldnt know of it. There is something on the marketing that didnt work, because a lot of people dont know about it and it seems a good game
It used to feel actually really good and fluid to play before the tons of mobility nerfs, but the overall polish was always lacking because Hi-Rez has no idea what âInternal Testingâ or âBug Fixesâ mean, but it wasnât as bad as the later years up until now.
I played the game 3 years ago, and I played it recently. Somehow, it feels worse than before in regards to bugs. It baffles me how some people still recommend Paladins as a competitive game. You canât compete in a bug-infested environment. All the bugs I encountered in Overwatch over the 3 years Iâve played so far donât come close to what I witnessed in Paladins the last time I gave a try.
Itâs a shame, though, because I actually like some champions in Paladins, and the art style isnât bad, but this is a case of technical failure of the highest order.
Yeeesh. So here is something that made me facepalm when I got the sudden urge to purge my inbox of old emailsâŚ
I was apparently subscribed to updates from Ninja Theory for Bleeding Edge.
When I realized that and noted I had no clue it released a couple weeks ago⌠You guys just Lawbreakerâed yourself⌠Shame.
Crossplay looks like the gameâs dialysis.
Bleeding edge has awful character design. What it have that overwatch doesnât have is⌠mama hong. Or a fusion of her and zarya.
And Happy Mauga, not Bad Mauga⌠I actually played the game exclusively because of the Maori dude.
Kulev would like a word with you
With the latest couple of patches made to Dota 2, I am making an album titled âValve doesnât check their ****â
Because they actually donât check their stuffs before pushing out.
I just know that I picked up Paladins on a whim - I mean itâs free, why not right? I was honestly surprised that the game was so popular because it felt really clunky to me. Like⌠1998 Super Mario Kart, barely controlling anything because itâs on an N64 clunky. And I donât mean that as an insult, what they have built is a really great game, great thing, I think it TOTALLY has itâs place in the market and deserves a big fanbase.
But to compare how those characters move and how the game engine registers the physics and movement to Overwatch feels a bit like⌠Comparing a Kindergartner drawing to a Highschoolers, just no contest as far as which one is more advanced - to me, anyway. I tried Paladins probably about a year ago I want to say, so, Iâm not sure what kind of state the game is in now but yeah - the game engine alone seems to be significantly different. Much much more like Fallout and Bethesda stuff, which has a sort of overall floaty-ness.
