Healing feels very weak

Shocked they haven’t released any patches to resolve major issues since 2/21/24

So many of us climbed from the low rank they placed us in season 1 just to be slapped in the face again.

They only care about groups and making life for solo queue players completely miserable.

Maybe they should review what worked in OW1 instead of letting noobs completely ruin this game.

I’m stuck playing Zen to win. Most of the roster suffers badly from this patch. I rarely used to play Zen. It’s all about the most damage now, which I don’t find fun.

They needed to be nerfed.

Instead we got the DPS passive. Did a similar job, even if it was a stupid idea.

As a support main I say: good that healing and immortality no longer save you from being melted when you’re making mistakes. They still work very well when applied correctly but at least there’s now more opportunity for good players to punish bad players instead of having the whole tug of war sustain fights that are boring and frustrating beyond belief. Things have to flow in the game or the game loop is boring and drives players away.

If only we could get rid of immortality and rework it into some kind of temporary shield HP mechanic, and the game could be one step closer to being great. For instance, lamp needs to be something that absorbs incoming bullets but gets damaged in the process without the need to shoot the drone itself, which can be easily placed in a way that breaks line of sight to it.

It’s a pretty long cooldown and teammates ignore it half the time lol. It might be OP in pro-play but you can’t balance the game solely around pro-play and expect it to survive. To be fair, hero balancing around solo queue at the average skill level isn’t enough to save the game either… the game still has to not suck in other key areas like matchmaking fairness lol.

Also DPS passive has made games where you are fighting teams with weighted DPS skilled players feel like crap as support. If I have a match where I’m expected to carry on the support, but my tank and / or DPS have zero awareness they’re just getting farmed by the DPS passive… there’s basically nothing I can do that is substantial enough over the course of the match, those might as well be auto-losses now.

I like the idea of a healing debuff to allow for kills without the game having to be all about one shot kills or whatever, but it feels terrible with current matchmaking when you have a silver skilled tank in a high plat / low diamond game.
