Will correcting the problem with logging in on accounts that have cross progression take longer than expected?
It’s currently the only issue I’m having logging in.
Ive been trying to get in since 2:40pm and now its 7 hours later and I haven’t seen the menu once. Should I requeue? My place in line keeps jumping from 10k to 7k back to 10k then back down to 7k then up to 30k. I got to the “searching for server” screen about 30 times where it ping ponged back and forth between “searching” to “cannot find - retrying” then thrown back into a numbered queue. Its pretty frustrating.

That’s…not really cool man.
Can we get some info on what the cause of the issue is? Hard to buy DDOS when I’ve been trying to log in or 6 hours but my buddy hopped in on his 2nd try.
And what about daily challenges? Any plan for loss of progress there in the new model?

experiencing the same issue. can’t even do the whole “switch server region” stuff cuz i’m on console. immensely frustrating

This would’ve gone a long way hours and hours ago, and I won’t pretend it’s not frustrating as all hell that it took over 6 hours for a somebody to actually acknowledge this is a sh*t show, but I appreciate somebody actually doing it.
Just a little direct and candid understanding, much better than 6 hours of sitting here pressing X every 5 minutes trying to play.
“We have no ETA” is also information we could’ve used hours ago instead of trying over and over all day just in case, but at this point, it’s not a solvable problem without a time machine, I guess. Being told “There is no ETA right now” is a relief, not a burden, and it is information. I’ve been in “waiting mode” all day, I wasted the whole day ::

Still stuck on the launcher saying “Overwatch will be back October 4, 2022 PT” and can’t even launch the game 
Not really sure why that is or how servers being horrible would affect that.
Man this sucks because I was so excited to play today and here I am 7 hours later still in queue. I know theyre trying their best, but this just sucks.

Just swap region, friend. I’ve been playing Asia and EU with no issues, and the latency isn’t horrible.
Im in a discord call with 15 people and only 2 of us have been able to get in. Switching to Asia didnt even help for those that tried. 
Been in queue since 2:40pm never got in. Most likely just going to uninstall and never even play one game.

sure they will. Instead of 8 months of grinding for a worthless skin, you will now only have to grind 6 months! Just this one time!
Oh the amount of pride and accomplishment i will actually be getting 25% sooner than expected, my gosh, i am already hyped

I got to play one full match and two half matches:
fill into a winning team → full match → kicked from a winning team
This is ridiculous
I got in an hour and 30 mins ago. Seems some are still struggling to get in but the ddos based issues seem to have cleared up at the very least. Now im just waiting for them to give me (and others their watchpoint packs. I’ve seen one person with it but thats it
Andy, I hope that the team is working hard as they have been all day. However, saying what little has been said, it’s as good to most of us as silence; stalling words, for reasons you can’t share rather than don’t have. After years of playing this game, the player base deserves more than transparent words, for “we’ve made zero progress throughout the day”.
