I feel like they used to change the times/weather of 5-10 maps each season but for the past few seasons it feels like it’s been the same. Why’d they stop? it made the maps refreshing to look at.
Edit: upon further investigation the last time they changed a map’s lighting was for Junkertown’s rework and the last time before that was season 6

They should randomize the variation once the map is selected. That would be far better than a rotation for diversity’s sake.

true. unless they deleted the old lighting from the files each time they made new ones which i doubt

You mean when a couple of maps were disabled at a time when they were giving them their “OW 2 updates” (more walls/cover)
Yeah, they finished that.
There be chest high walls on every map now. Or most
no i mean the daylight times. like how lijiang used to be night time and blizzard world used to be stormy for a couple seasons. They stopped changing them and now the maps are feeling stale and looking the exact same. Not a big deal but something i’d like them to do again
Oh, they change time every season.
I don’t remember which, I think one of the pride enabled maps. IT was night last time, now there’s daylight again and I realized I like night better.
I’m 90% sure Numbani was early day, now it’s a later in the evening. Still bright
Edit: but yeah, they don’t put it in the notes. Time changes naturally b:
Then they mustve stopped putting them in the patch notes. And as for midtown, i think that was a 1-off
